They've stopped torturing that beautiful owl at IFSEC?

It seems I am behind times, the new logo looks quite good actually. If fairness NSI have always been good at their marketing. But that opens another question. Do people believe NSI to be superior due to actual higher standards or good marketing? I have spent thousands over the years on Bose speaker systems. When I read forums from audio experts they all think its overprice ****, but the marketing makes me believe that it's all that, despite my ears telling me different. Don't think that the NSI / SAAIB debate will ever be settled.

Dont care which just one with teeth. And I believe SSAIB do better marketing, for one I'm pass about the name change again. Was google your friend today:)

I see. Sorry. Not good with reading between the lines and hidden meanings. My brain just not wired that way. Maybe thats where I'm going wrong, rather than telling it as it is I need to learn how to hide it in some other words.

What! Really! Banter is the life of a place like this. If I want to read something serious ill go to BSI.

They updated the logo but now are not supporting separate logos for the different disciplines.

So before you would NSI Gold - Fire  and NSI Gold - ARC etc as specific logos, now they all have to use the same one.

Seems a backward step. Without going on to the NSI website, how do you know scopes achieved?

how do you know scopes achieved?

Especially for companies with NSI ARC and SSAIB Intruder for example both slapped on the vans.

This is confusing the customer IMO.

I liked the old way (which is still how SSAIB do it) where you get a logo per scope so you know who's got what. We currently have 4, soon to be 10 so it will be clear that we have more scopes than 2bit down the road that just has non iso intruder alarms, especially when NACOSS Gold and ARC Gold are 2 very different badges.

Agreed, it's an ongoing conversation with NSI tbh...

The worry is that if businesses just start showing a copy of the same logo for each scope achieved then people (as in joe public) might think that it is like hotel and restaurant ratings - A business with 3 accreditations is better than one with 2 regardless of what those scopes are or their relevance to the clients needs.

Just to point out the obvious but it of course benefits NSI if it becomes a numbers game...
