  6. Some airports are trialling it https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/business-52479043/will-thermal-cameras-help-to-end-the-lockdown
  7. visit here from a security nerd point see how much detection you can see, top points for the disguised stuff you can find
  8. Someone has done you down then, im afraid it was past it 20 years ago
  9. Mic levels too high and feedback. Plus is the on hook switch broke / need adjusting?
  10. Doors shut at night, draught from anywhere near the sensor, open fire Place?
  11. also your z4 tamper is that. Its the last signal the panel recieved it is waiting for a tamper restore to clear it. Turning the battery off will ensure it cant send any signals
  12. i dont, without knowing the cause just slowing down the sensor is hiding the issue and making for a potential no detection
  13. yeah cant show coverage to level 1 users. How you do this when doing a walk test without emptying the building is another issue
  14. you wont be able to, but if went it tamper before and you havnt reset it, it may be locked out so wont go off anyway
  15. qfa good point my bad you have a tmaper fault that will need to be found and restored or bypassed to test the panel. It wont reset until its cleared
  16. if you have engineer access and its an old galaxy then remote comms is on by default. If newer one then it will be on manager auth iirc. You using a 232 module?
  17. Also is a pir suitable for the room, Can you post a photo of the room from the pir position. What settings are the sesnsor set to and im assuming no pets?
  18. depends on the age of them by the sounds they are knocking on.
  19. its a good level of detection, I have all external windows and doors with shock sensors and all downstairs rooms have movement sensors. All on their own circuit. 2 external sounders but proper signalling
  20. you should only have 1 detector per zone/circuit
