  1. Robert, I am not in the office tomm but Kelli will answer your call and book you in for a survey. Where are you building your house? Our no is 01383 748829 or visit our web on www.alarmprotection.co.uk Sorry if I have broken admin rules James. Thanks
  2. Although not our choice of panel I would recommend the Galaxy but if you are having the panel services I would use the companies equipment. For monitoring (depending on insurance requirement) I would advise to get the company to install panel and monitoring equipment. We would be happy if you installed the alarm wiring but would check cable before install. One cable per device is best practice. Where are you based? We are in Fife and cover central area. With fire I would suggest getting a company out before wiring up. Again we would be happy for you to run the cable but would want to check the cabling as this has to be clipped/concealed to standard before the plasterboard goes up. I would suggest you get a quote for all the 1st fix etc. For home automation the light wave is a good product. Hope this helps.
  3. Default the panel. If that doesn't work I would replace.
  4. The past 2 years of my life have just been **** tbh. Best mate, his sister and mum, my uncle and 2 of my aunts sisters have gone in 2 years and I came home one night and just said "enough is enough" I really thought I was going to have a breakdown but I say live everyday like it's your last and have as much time with the family as possible. I come home and and just have a laugh with the family. " my alarms not working".......will deal with it tomm
  5. I would fit a GSM module anyway tbh.
  6. Nothing wrong with the Agility! I install both the enforcer and agility and set up right both work no probs. Everything is set up in office before install.
  7. Conduit? If done right it looks ok. Sparks get away with running it. Make sure your spec is right and when job is signed for you have it in writing.
  8. Just hope another flash upgrade comes out. You tried any Risco cybergibbons?
  9. In new builds it's easy to get the bell and upper hall cable down. Downstairs just depends on panel location etc.
  10. BT and sky etc can run their cables external and nobody gives a toss! I just use the enforcer unit or Gardtec. Job done and if you don't take a maintenance then call some other mug.
  11. New builds are a nightmare to cable for ALL zones. We always go hybrid and most have front/back door wireless. With wimpey new builds there is a void above the front/back doors that we can route cables all round house.
  12. No way is this kit as bad as others state. Prove me and many installation company's with what faults occurred and we can talk about it? No way is this kit as bad as others state. Prove me and many installation company's with what faults occurred and we can talk about it?
  13. Never had issues like yours Adi. If your case is that bad I would get a Risco tech guy on site and they do this to address different installs. If you could tell me about the problems or pm as you know I install the Risco equipment please.
  14. The agility 3 is a decent bit of kit for the money tbh. After bench testing and installing 7 now the customers like them. I would say the agility 3 is the best wireless system out there that can adapt to most applications for customers tbh.
  15. It is a good bit of kit though You would like the Risco agility 3 then!
  16. For what you need I can't see anything better than the texecom kit. The Risco Agility 3 also has what you need and the pir's have a built in camera that detects and sends to your mobile. Also have a look at the Videofied. You can have your house and external perimeter protected from 1 panel but that might be a bit ott.
  17. Overpriced imo so we moved to Luxrite.
  18. Tbh I would leave 1 bell connected and call a pro in to set the second bell up.
  19. I install the same kit as Arf and installed correctly it does no cause problems. Risco have come a long way in the past couple of years.

  21. No problem with that and I would loved to be proved wrong. If it works out the box and no updates involved then good one texecom!
  22. Untill some fault occurs and a firmware update is required......
