We just book the customer in tbh! BUT I find looking after the customers house by laying sheets etc to do a clean job that they find impressive. I also state before install "I only use a Dyson Hoover to clean up" which has a bit of a laugh between us.

My local CEF sells the 9651. You can more or less get any panel you want through the web though.

Gardtec 480 but depending on the price we try to install a CPX on new builds and run a phone cable to BT point incase homeowner requires monitoring in the future as that could generate extra income. Plus you can lock the panels.

They have many contracts up here and their installs are good. Took one over last week and the wiring was excellent in the panel.

Videofied is made for what the OP requires. Wanting to protect his house while in build stage and can use the same equipment when the house is built. No wires to be run and cost of a new system?

Why? This system can be installed when the bricks go up or with external PIR's even when the foundations are in place and the premises are protected. Once the build has been done then install as per customer request... Plus they get video. No cables and house protected. Can you send me prices for monitoring please Matt.

Look at the Videofied system. Can be completely wireless with camera built into PIR's when building. Then just add power to panel in cupboard when mains is in.

I have sent my quote through but 1hr drive to city centre 1 hr gagging about and replacing a fire call point. 1 hr drive back Have to be on site at 8am for job. Give me a price as iv just said no chance and it will be £195+vat. I reckon I'm still cheap but can do services in and about the area at that time. BTW I was told £100+vat all in including MCP. I'm not used to this subby work tbh but will help any installer if in the area but I need to make money!

We use Luxrite for all CCTV.

The roof guttering normally holds the drill. Screws in pocket, bell in hand and lid between the knees. Job done!

I agree with James. It is a very solid g1 panel and if you can't programme one get someone in who can . One if the easiest panels to programme and meant for the DIY market.

We always do a wireless strength test before install. Install panel then do detector strength test. I like the 600 etc as the wireless receiver can be moved to get better signal strength. One way but it's G2 as standard and works. All this 2 way blah blah.

The last problem minor one was the bell tamp was not soldered onto the circuit board(first time) but gas solder on fire and fixed in 1 min. Timmo, kit is always programmed in the office with wireless by myself. Once on site panel is installed and detectors are placed in rooms. Wireless strength activated and if all ok ready to go. I have had 2 installs where the receiver had to be mounted approx 3 metres from panel to obtain max signal strength. They were very old Victorian buildings. The panel is always pre programmed with everything before going to site but I do realise if you get kit on day of install this can't happen. Test signal strength before full installation and receiver. 10% above signal blocking on the receiver and no problems so far. Used Risco for the past 12 years and top equipment imo.

Installed 6 Agility 3 over the past few months. Have 24 Lightsys and the rest are 600/601, CPX and 480. Our main panel is the 600/601 now. I don't understand why Risco get slated as they are very stable. We have sites sitting with 30-50 detectors on and have been stable for years. Their wireless range is excellent apart from the odd detector eating batteries. Just gone back to the XS3D bell. Service and delivery is excellent imo. I would even go as far as say Risco go further than most intruder companies bringing out new product.

I install Risco and rarely have a problem. The Gardtec 600/601 is a very good panel imo.

But I install Gardtec/Risco.......... Offfft that's a bit harsh!

The Optex is decent gear but I can't comment on the rest as they are not available for us to install up in sunny Scotland.
