  1. New builds are a nightmare to cable for ALL zones. We always go hybrid and most have front/back door wireless. With wimpey new builds there is a void above the front/back doors that we can route cables all round house.
  2. No way is this kit as bad as others state. Prove me and many installation company's with what faults occurred and we can talk about it? No way is this kit as bad as others state. Prove me and many installation company's with what faults occurred and we can talk about it?
  3. Never had issues like yours Adi. If your case is that bad I would get a Risco tech guy on site and they do this to address different installs. If you could tell me about the problems or pm as you know I install the Risco equipment please.
  4. The agility 3 is a decent bit of kit for the money tbh. After bench testing and installing 7 now the customers like them. I would say the agility 3 is the best wireless system out there that can adapt to most applications for customers tbh.
  5. It is a good bit of kit though You would like the Risco agility 3 then!
  6. For what you need I can't see anything better than the texecom kit. The Risco Agility 3 also has what you need and the pir's have a built in camera that detects and sends to your mobile. Also have a look at the Videofied. You can have your house and external perimeter protected from 1 panel but that might be a bit ott.
  7. Overpriced imo so we moved to Luxrite.
  8. Tbh I would leave 1 bell connected and call a pro in to set the second bell up.
  9. I install the same kit as Arf and installed correctly it does no cause problems. Risco have come a long way in the past couple of years.

  11. No problem with that and I would loved to be proved wrong. If it works out the box and no updates involved then good one texecom!
  12. Untill some fault occurs and a firmware update is required......
  13. Problem that you need to go to site at your cost?
  14. Adrian I respect you for being forward about the problems texecom has and the fixes. I feel Risco are ahead of the competition and have problems but don't have to flash that many older panels that are out there to repair software faults.
  15. Moaning of your product? I don't use texecom but as from previous threads it needs constant software updates that means a site visit? Is this true or not? HKC had a problem that when udl the panel was not set overnight! With your above comment I think texecom have a lot more software problems that require engineer visits to resolve them? I use Risco equipment and it gets a **** rating on here but when you start comparing it to other manufactures? They come out and start!
  16. HKC had issues as per another thread when customer disarmed system it armed after udl. So that means the system was disarmed overnight... Of a break in did occur what would happen? Texecom will bring all their software flash blah blah! Risco has had problems but for the wireless market they are up there with the best. If the system is set up right then there should be 0% callbacks.
  17. Honeywell will not address any issues, texecom say system requires software updates all the time, Risco bring out new equipment that doesn't work as it should do, HKC have had a problem with dialing in and the system was unset overnight......... So let's make one thing clear... Everyone states Risco tat but every manufacturer has their problems. The one thing that annoys me is texecom state a software upgrade which cost time to send engineer out so can you bill texecom for this time on site? I would be pissed at the amount of updates a texecom system requires! I would have to how many Risco systems get installed and are good compared to texecoms that when a fault comes up requires an engineer visit to upgrade software?
  18. One thing with Risco...wait a few months while their new products take time to bed in as they say. Mind you I remember the problems with texecom ricochet and they are still ongoing so it is a bit unfair to say its only Risco! Don't get me wrong texecom address the issue but how many software updates are required? That means an engineer on site at company cost.
  19. But I install Risco matt and the callback rate is no way near 30%. Apart from the odd battery failing I have had no issues. Their wireless beams are an excellent bit of kit imo.
  20. A callback rate of 30% would kill us.
