  1. Robert, I am not in the office tomm but Kelli will answer your call and book you in for a survey. Where are you building your house? Our no is 01383 748829 or visit our web on www.alarmprotection.co.uk Sorry if I have broken admin rules James. Thanks
  2. Although not our choice of panel I would recommend the Galaxy but if you are having the panel services I would use the companies equipment. For monitoring (depending on insurance requirement) I would advise to get the company to install panel and monitoring equipment. We would be happy if you installed the alarm wiring but would check cable before install. One cable per device is best practice. Where are you based? We are in Fife and cover central area. With fire I would suggest getting a company out before wiring up. Again we would be happy for you to run the cable but would want to check the cabling as this has to be clipped/concealed to standard before the plasterboard goes up. I would suggest you get a quote for all the 1st fix etc. For home automation the light wave is a good product. Hope this helps.
  3. Default the panel. If that doesn't work I would replace.
  4. If no help you could buy a seperate IR and install under camera?
  5. The past 2 years of my life have just been **** tbh. Best mate, his sister and mum, my uncle and 2 of my aunts sisters have gone in 2 years and I came home one night and just said "enough is enough" I really thought I was going to have a breakdown but I say live everyday like it's your last and have as much time with the family as possible. I come home and and just have a laugh with the family. " my alarms not working".......will deal with it tomm
  6. I would fit a GSM module anyway tbh.
  7. Put the 4x4 and sports car in the garage with a DT installed inside with beams from right hand garage to left hand side on the outside connected into the CCTV.
  8. Unless you have an animal invasion I would suggest beams at a waist height accross the front. We install Risco wireless that chimes upon activation on the house alarm. Hard wired beams will also do for the CCTV if you keep them above a level of a cat as they roam at night. GJD is an excellent bit of kit and set up right will not give you a problem but as said I would go with beams.
  9. Ah right I see where you are coming from. You will have to programme zones you want them to be so zone 4 for smoke. The arm disarm should be able to be programmed from the outputs.
  10. Tbh I have never seen the visonic connected to a Gardtec panel as Gardtec make their own wireless receiver.
  11. Switch the system of at the mains then do what you have to do. Then switch back on and it works or doesn't!
  12. Installed a few AGE Diplomat systems in my younger years. No NVM so system defaulted if not serviced etc. still hate those Sterling 10's
  13. Still have a lot of ADE including the optima 2+ going strong. It was always the dud batteries that sent them to the skip with charging problems. Customers hate an upgrade as the keypad was so long and showed holes in wall and no wallpaper as the decorator papered round them.
  14. As Paul P says. I hated them. Small panels from pyronix at that time were terrible. Did they not have a matrix panel? Another terrible panel Peter.
  15. Nothing wrong with the Agility! I install both the enforcer and agility and set up right both work no probs. Everything is set up in office before install.
  16. That is our main DVR sixwheeled. Easy to set up and user friendly.
  17. Conduit? If done right it looks ok. Sparks get away with running it. Make sure your spec is right and when job is signed for you have it in writing.
  18. Just hope another flash upgrade comes out. You tried any Risco cybergibbons?
  19. In new builds it's easy to get the bell and upper hall cable down. Downstairs just depends on panel location etc.
  20. BT and sky etc can run their cables external and nobody gives a toss! I just use the enforcer unit or Gardtec. Job done and if you don't take a maintenance then call some other mug.
