  1. Com 1 is the PSTN dialler onboard the panel, nothing to do with databus line 1. We have had this issue a few times. Downpowering the panel, count to ten and power back up has always been the fix. Getting fault to clear that are no longer there isn't such a rare thing on a galaxy. Power cycle always seems to cure.
  2. No, not alarms just CCTV. Keyholding and guarding are also licensable activities.
  3. I have an arc and arcs are required to hold sia as it is a licensable activity although after all this time the sia has decided rvrcs only need a security guarding license rather than public space CCTV that we all spent years getting.
  4. ISO is QMS, not product certification I thought all golds got 8418 as part of the deal? Not at all. Friendly chat In days gone by, it was. For CCTV no SIA = a trip to court. For CCTV install no badge means err nuffink
  5. Intruder Access CCTV 8418 What product schemes you got that I don't? Plus I had to earn my 8418 on a real site. You got in given without proving competence
  6. Erm mr Wilson I have as many scopes as you do When I watched the videos I thought they were a promo for Nsi at first as it doesn't resemble the world I know!
  7. That's terrible James. I quote "gaining SSAIB approval isn't easy, nor should it be."
  8. Interesting and a story I hear often. There was a day that no badge meant no decent work. Think that ship has sailed. So far this year we have done 2 jobs that needed any approval. At £40k though it was worth SSAIB fees to get it. Bulk of what we do, no one cares. Super successful alarms inspection board wouldn't be so successful without recruitment of companies
  9. Engineer fantasy Glad our engineers aren't doctors as the number of misdiagnosis would lead to large scale deaths
