Bump
I am using 3cx at work,it works really well and I have been very happy with it. I would like to do away with the home phone now we rarely use it apart from the missus calling the mother in law but its costing a fortune because I have it on free calls anytime. I never answer the landline unless I know who is calling most people I speak to know my mobile. Our mobile package is unlimited calls so apart from the mother in law its not used. So I was thinking I could get a sip phone for home for incoming only and use the mobiles for outgoing, I dont need a 3cx system so what can I use that free and basic to receive incoming calls at home?
get a free sip line from sipgate, Use a ATA to plug in all your normal phones.

If your putting a maglock on the door to prevent opening when set, how you going to get in if you put the keypad in the room as you mention above.
The ones we have done were a separate area or separate system with access control on the door and monitored locks if it was an area on a bigger system so it had to be armed and locked before the main system would set.

Assuming the cabling is OK, is there a way to prove if the keypad or panel is at fault other than by swapping one or the other? The keypad is obviously getting power as the display is lit.
Take the keypad off and wire on on short lead next to the panel or meter the cables out
Its getting parts to swap over that you will find very hard unless there are some on ebay

Yeah maybe, but I have seen both on commercial. Missed the 1313 good spot. Either way they are too tight to pay for proper monitoring.
Eta, the bad stipple artex would also point to a resi, but the painted wall for the keypad?
Also only 4 circuits in use unless there is an expander
CD95 still on of my fav panels, only issue was programming outputs they wouldn't change until you come out of engineers

Defaulting it wont clear the data fault

Nd-No Panel Data - The control panel is receiving no more data from the panel
Reboot it

Check the cabling between the panel and keypad 47.48,49,50

Was thinking that.....
From what i have read BT are going to stop using central battery systems and the power and dialtone will have to instigated at the premises.
Way for digis or anything that dials would be to convert to SIP with a ATA using dial capture over a VOIP account

Button broke its probably been passed 1000s of times, try shorting the wires on the button together to see if it chimes.

Originally holding an ECS certificate, on renewal I was informed that I cannot have that anymore as I don’t have official qualifications and I am not directly employed (sub contractor) so did CSCS instead.
Now I can’t get CSCS either because now our industry comes under ECS.
At the ripe age of 62 it’s simply not practical to do NVQ because of cost and time.
Ask the ECS to book you on the City & guilds NVQ level 3 (the one they require)
They won't be able to as it does not exist, currently having a argument with them, spoke to the exam bodies we have training certificates from and also Tavcom, and they are all saying that ECS cant ask for a NVQ level 3 as it hasnt existed for 5 years or more.
ECS told us just to apply for the white card for security systems, pass the Health & safety exam and get a letter from our employer stating we can do the job and that's it, and will be upgraded to gold when they get their mess sorted out.
BTW ECS card has the CSCS logo on it and is deemed the same.

He is right we are having to do the same thing get an ECS card as our white CSCS are about to expire and no longer cover our trade
