Evening all, I just want to put this out to you guys and I'll really appreciate it if anyone can help me out on this but I've been looking after an old Shorrock security system and I really like it and I pretty much don't want to replace it as it's still going strong and yesterday when I done a bell box test I noticed the external siren didn't work anymore. The bell box is an old Shorrock 170 metal pentagon shaped bell box and there basically my favourite bell boxes. If any one has one for sale going cheap or is going to be replacing one can I please have it as I will not change my bell box to anything modern and a Shorrock 170 is what I prefer to use as I'd like to keep my Shorrock system original and I'd like to have another Shorrock 170 as I find they really keep the burglars at bay. I look forward to hearing from you and If anyone has a Shorrock 170 bell box for sale I'm more than happy to buy it off them.
Best regards Thorn
Thought the Shorrock Pentagon was polycarb and they had friedland bells in them, its probably stuck needs freeing off

DM used to do their own, have you checked their website

Quick data line test, two LEDs across the data line and they will flicker with the data.
-
two 680 resistors ? panel does not need one unless you have removed the onboard jumper

I've just had 1995 on the phone, they want their website back...
Nice firm to deal with, if you need any special brackets.
Dont think they need to bother with the website the amount of mag locks they sell.

Yes but then your stuck with only being able to use avigilon cameras.
Your not, we have a college running Avigilon and they have Axis and mobotix cameras on some of the other buildings

i also thought it was every year?
Office held meter which you check issued meters against yearly only needs to be done every 2yrs, that's what the NSI say

we by a new meter each year with a calibration certificate to test our meters against.
Master (office held) meter only needs to be calibrated every two years, save yourself some money.

-
Looking in to changing our server and updating our version of office, anybody use office 365 and exchange hosted.
Any bad points

Had it where a RIO had been damaged and the system had Call Alarm Co on the keypad but would still set with RIo missing and override the remote reset, Galaxy tech came to site as they didn't believe it. Firmware updated all fine.

I've not seen a zone fault auto omit without also indicating the fault with the zone and asking for confirmation. Assuming that the resistances showing on the panel bang on 1k/2k when you press the hash key. It's a strange one.
Version 5.20 G3-48 did do forced omits on open or faults without any confirmation, took a while for honeywell to believe us
-
Linked remote Power RIOs with fiber and convertors as per Honeywells instructions

Any groups enabled or is the offending zone on soak

No your right, we needed it working the other way where areas needed to be set all the time
-
setting logic as you said, but a better way would be a RKP in each area so 3 RKP and assign them to the area
Dont know how an inspector would interpretate a keypad unsetting an area from outside the area
BTW the communal will have to be area 3 on a galaxy for some reason

Have you got one in the other room back to back with each other?
-
before you start with PICs you need to look at the basics.
