  1. Alarms don't use many components in reality all boards and connections to them, pcb level only a few engineers know what they doing... Or what it's doing at component level
  2. Just install it , start with one sensor use two resistors and there's only a few combinations to do it, either way panel will report a fault Global tamper should be last resort
  3. Dual resistors in one diagram single resistor in other? you need two, although I seen a few now with one resistor not sure on this panel if it works with one, does it have all the options for zone types?
  4. Virgin probably installed it from where there t was situated , if you cause a fuss they will probably come out and install it cheaper , otherwise you pay full for an extension whatever there charge is
  5. Why can't you just get a local engineer to link the two sockets ? Or run a cable internally ? Either way you have to pay to do it, or run and connect the cable yourself
  6. No Relay of smoke contacts connect to zone contacts +&- goto +&- on the panel dc Programme zones as fire zone 7&8 as said by jw Unless that's what you meant anyway lol just seems as if your going to blow it up......
  7. Ignore resistors for now and stick the alarm loop on relay contacts , tamper can be global running through each device but you can look at that after this is just to get your zone working Resistors for eol better than standard wiring without
  8. Delete devices , disable groups ,restart , enable groups, put them on group1 and see what happens Lol @email
  9. why not take group a8 off the set procedure if nothingthere on that group the zones should surely remain active regardless of what you do? Ie as jw often reminds about the * , Making it up as I go along!
  10. Have they always done that? Also did you try system restart ? Or deleting them and putting them back?
  11. Then you might have some zones set to precheck
  12. Just thought if not that does it ask you to view?
  13. Rf check , supervision loss? Perhaps battery low? Is there anything else in the log? (Detailed) What receiver are you using out of curiosity?
  14. Hard core explanation but will the Op be able?
  15. As above speaker best option But perhaps have perimeter protection then set the kitchen to entry as that where you say they walk in I have a dimension (yep havnt chucked it out for a hkc ....yet) Have a room in between which starts timer on part set and perimeter protection Kids have there own code which only deactivates internals Lots of ways I guess I don't get it though why wouldn't the sounder stop ???????? I often open the back door in error when the cat goes nuts and sounder stops in disarm My cat is nuts side point!
  16. What's the max you can keep that bell going would max rearms keep it going a while if still trig d ? Or some other way?
  17. You left with two or three or more choices 1. Call an installer 2. Scrap alarm fit accenta easier to prog 3. Call an installer to tell you it's scrap 4. Call an installer to fit new panel 5. Call an installer to prof it for you 6. Call an installer just to tell you if it's just programming or a scrapper seriously I am not being funny either, has to be programming, faulty board , or sorry to say it "you?" 4yrs old scrap it man I forgot 7 Reply back saying it's sorted
  18. Exit terminator ie what ever is used for exit setting perhaps Why do you think it's a fault code? P1 could just be partion 1 Your trying to guess your way round the panel and your questions will be endless if you installed it you must have the manual its all in there hope it works out or get an installer to sort it for you
