  2. How much I just got asked for a job like this to? And from where? I wait til you fit it lol
  3. Admit it , you have a key switch for arming , battery , micro switches on doors , and a siren
  4. He was just confirming that output is for sound to keypad Chime is in manual ? Which came with panel in this case
  5. No your incorrect you must have done something wrong , that gives you fault tones and exit entry and so on , only follows bell on intruder alert as such Sounds as though you connected it up wrong as there's two terminals for the speaker , easily connected to strobe if your not looking Either way speaker terminal gives you chime , exit entry , fault tones , I fitted loads of these in the past , so you wired it up wrong or something These panels are really basic in some respects but easily damaged if not experienced enough
  6. Yes so the bell output is powered so you cant connect speakers to it I thought on that panel there are two terminals for the speaker not one?
  7. Pin 1 is 12v Pin 2 will switch to 0v when alarm triggers So relay between them Will switch , you need a diode on that relay I think Providing what you said above is correct Don't you have a multimeter , otherwise buy one and yesterday it , very cheap these days and always useful
  8. good point though geezer! Op what did you wire it to? And what was exact model Either way it's normally one of those problems
  9. The sonit is a power sounder not speaker I thought, you cannot connect powered sounders to speaker outputs and you cannot connect speakers to power outputs For speaker connections generally a 16ohm speaker is what you should have connected to the speaker output Sounders are normally connected to the bell output or a power sounder output but again be careful as to where and how you connect it if negative trigger then one leg to positive and other leg to bell output Using a powered sounder on the bell output also has to be checked for its current consumption , you cannot put to much load on the bell output But in general for those panels use an additional speaker on speaker output calculating what your doing I used the word "power" for sounders so you see the diff with normal speakers otherwise it's not said that way really Chime will work if chime is on when panel unset as you said it will chime on keypad and speaker
  10. yes don't forget your bell box will be going nuts outside when you disconnect the panel , providing its working well or it will flop due to no servicing perhaps so won't matter..... Watch out for mains electricity Dc can be lethal for burns Not trying to scare you but all things to keep an eye out for If tlc has courier then they few quid more expensive I think Oh and stretch the spring in the keypad a little , otherwise nearly always tamper when you pull flap down
  11. Metal as more room , plastic is easy enough if you follow the instructions and use it's cable management , you can get it all neatly behind the pcb Both work if it save a few quid and gets you a dialler , better than bells only
  12. Accenta would do then, with LCD keypad, better to have new battery http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=864 Squeeze another £20-30 and get a dialler to Panics are cheap http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_46&products_id=2542
  13. Your so funny sensei , how come you don't have your own section? Lol still your funny
  14. there are some panels that will do this depending on what service you buy from the installer or monitoring company, better to drop the ion range now dont you think DD? (lol)
  15. Your not far from me give me call if you like, also can't pm you yet think you need a few more posts
