  1. Yes this does occur with other diallers and many handsets and then it suddenly starts working on next call
  2. Yes there rf range is very poor with to many objects in the way if you get me
  3. Engineer mode won't help you with short circuits , and as above you can do serial as said with last one being terminated , and also do star config You will have ti make sure you address everything carefully , big house ? To rf portals?
  4. As above , but you can star it no problem and put a resistor on at "each" end of line If you blew a fuse you must have shorted something not because of an overload , the connections on the g2 can be tricky for some ,xso look carefully when your doing it and power down if possible , your bell may go nuts while doing it of course
  5. None of them are straight forward , if your sticking to wired then galaxy may work for you , is it a commercial? Have you looked at texecom? Euro mini?
  6. Young reader want to convert it to emp
  7. Nah , for commercial maybe, but residential other panels are moving ahead , honeywell should sell up and end up like Eaton bosch who also don't do jack to develop there products
  8. Yes take cover off , hope it's not engineer reset or something crazy
  9. So your back to square one, first determine if they work independently Then it can only be a cable fault or wiring problem Maybe you are connected something wrong and didn't notice , as a house bashers I do it often , still good to fry the stuff now and then
  10. Ok so your saying individually they both work fine, flash strobe trigger bell all ok? , if that's the case then it's wiring or cable fault Not sure if these have a resistor to be used ? Is it fed from front to rear or rear to front , replace cable through loft if that's the shorter one , Are you using 8core or struggling with 6 and no other spares
  11. Can you wire up the bell that isn't working in its own, if so does it work?
  12. Because it normally starts positive and by the end of a tsi thread it's negative , kind of adds up this
  13. What equipment is it? Components work fine in very warm areas , probably more prone to failure in a loft where temp changes more often , but depends on build quality Of course this could all be blag
  14. I wasn't talking about the triggers, so it should work, how will you monitor external psu ? Perhaps 12v relays connected to zones in panel so you know when there's a fault
  15. Setting bells like that depends also on system output , current draw of bells and current output of panel Current draw when bells are both going nuts and pulls the panel down because panel output wasn't strong enough You get it
  16. Better to set one bell to scb mode and second to sab , or whichever way round, As for resistor dont know the panel well but it's probably requires otherwise will keep showing bell tamper , resistor that comes with delta bell is explained in instructions And yes depending on panel you can use an output to control engineer hold off , but I don't I just know which leg it is and apply if and when required manually, on the delta that is
  17. as petrol says wrong ones and you cut frequencies that you need
  18. Reading up in technomate seems this unit must be connected to a DVB compatible TV , so hope that's what your doing as it's a hd convertor Standard ones will do straight to the normal TV channels if that makes sense which don't require hd compatibility
  19. If you can't get pictures out if the HDMI convertor no point trying any further Havnt done this in a long time but channels were normally between 21 Upto 33 stay clear of , higher channels should all work Are you auto tuning , do manual slow tuning set on high channel directly connected to the convertor output What's model number and name if not a technomate
  20. You need to do this stage by stage remove aerial etc and start with Cctv direct and take it step by step I assume out of the HDMI convertor if you put a TV right next to it and plug it in direct you can get a picture?
  21. Can you get a picture direct out if the HDMI convertor?
  22. I know I said catch fire , but y you wanna torch it? Should be in messed up joke section
  23. Judging by the small holes etc he's read one of your gashing posts Although I wonder how long it will be before that battery catches fire , lead acid battery in an alarm panel???? Or drilled into a gel one , hardcore
