  1. lots of video's... however I'm pretty sure he's never worked at a proper alarm co.
  2. are you a slow reader ? what plonkers have you been talking too ? phone lines are finished for alarm signaling.... you need to put your hand in your pocket & buy a proper alarm from a proper alarm company with proper signaling
  3. soak test - an intruder alarm zone will not generate an alarm for the duration of the soak test just log' display it as a fault eg- you've a warehouse with DT900 it false alarms... you've checked the cables & the voltages blah, blah.... you reckon it might be the detector or it might be the vermin you pop a new detector on & place it on 14 day soak test, if does not FA in the next 14 days it becomes a intruder zone on the system again with no more action to take if it fails the soak test "soak failure" will be on the display & when the alarm FA'd in the middle of the night nobody got called out...
  4. Cheap enough to swap a PCB if you want to support yet another platform ?
  5. Business is business, if the subscriber is unhappy or has a better offer, cheerio & good luck to them its up to the incoming co. to do their homework, I'd say its unethical to be asking for more £ from the subscriber if you need to replace a locked pcb ? does a "locked product" stop you taking it over...
  6. Should the equipment be the subscribers property & they choose to move to another co. who is incapable of doing the job without asking for me to hold their hand... They can send me the pcb & I will restore it to the manufactured defaults ?
  7. if you have a job for all the radio tat.... a P48-Live is "free" panel for a little wired system in an outbuilding ?
  8. assuming both out building have power, 2 self contained systems....
  9. I believe the VAT man makes a better profit than I & he's doesn't even foot the ladders
  10. There the 3 leading brands of non powered detection... However I assume non of them make the glass reeds ?
  11. look very carefully how big a gap you have between frame & door to fit the top of the nylon contact in place the stainless steel capped ones are thinner & more robust if they rub together
  12. there ain't none, however there are a set of big boys rules.... when taking other peoples tat over you either have to the product knowledge of how to over come any lock or quirks of the product or have enough £ in the job to put your own stuff in from either the start or retain the subscriber for enough years to make it pay.. confiture demain, as you might say ? Sadly a few hundred quid for new control can be a problem as the subscribers can be living had to month with the latest I-Phones, Range Rovers & shirt sponsoring the local professional sports team... taking priority
  13. The OP can't get it... so I'll recommend that too!
  14. employ a competent alarm company to wire the site before you plaster :) shock ain't great they will FA, radio shocks are worst
  15. yeah, yellow, clear, red but mostly blue lenses ? we never used them, cequra was the 1st factory build box we had 1993 /94 ish ? I think it had the same pcb as the above
