Somewhere near the McVities factory, the town centre seemed to have more druggies and drinkers than average for my liking. Stayed in a village where the beach had a big factory (I say beach it was more like a big muddy river/harbour) and the houses and pubs looked a bit run down.

 

While I was there I visited Edinborough (nice but set up for tourists) Lakes very nice, Hadrians Wall (not what I thought it would be) on the way home we did the Dales very nice 

Where is Edinborough? Nice way to give the game away that your a southern tourist.

I assume you mean Carlisle, Cumberland to me, all northern areas have there little shithole somewhere especially in and around the city.

yeah im not keen on carlisle, blencow is the village lovely place. My nan is still near durdar.

Cumbria's a county, much like me saying East Sussex is a shithole because I once went to Uckfield.
