We have a paragon plus alarm. The door chime doesn’t sound and the access area doesn’t seem to set.

the panel is utter tat & the door contact has probably failed

    As Mr Happy says, The Paragon is one of the worst alarms for random faults and when you have fixed them you are back again. I would advise an upgrade even before I looked at one now.

    I echo Hillbilly's comments...

     

    If you spend money on a repair I've no doubt you will be spending again in the not too distant future...

    There not great panels but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work.

    I would also assume it's the door contact at fault.

    Said before, the BIL had one that served him well for years, right up to him moving.

    Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

    I suppose if your a maintainer and customer won't pay for upgrade they will just Bout pay for the fix
