Texecom Ricochet install advice

due to mesh commissioning, don't enrol until you're on site with devices!

I'm curious why you think it's a problem.

Every ricochet system I've ever installed is programmed, all devices learned and tested up to 72 hoursI generally on a plug top and a 7ah whilst under test.

I've never defaulted a system once all learned, it's pointless waste of time.

I always leave batteries in everything during transit to site, even the Panel battery.

As long as you follow the correct procedure on site with lids off everything and give time for a secure stable mesh to build, verify mesh integrity on ricochet monitor you're all good. That's the beauty of this kit as you know, It will always adapt to the environment and create its own best route back to the Panel.

Not sure on what everyone else's own procedures are...

But there's no way I would turn up to a full ricochet install with nothing pre programmed and function tested in advance.

Be be interested in others thoughts on this.

Sounds like a pretty new kit with a few extra PIR's added in. It's my preferred series of control panel and they work very well, I also agree with the wired point above. You need to read the manu

not texe but always program on site. I test them and learn em but no not every time

This is the key to it

Thanks for your help everyone

Got the system up and running today with no faults

Took a while to get my head around the setting up procedure and having to change the sensor settings for entry/exit, guard etc.... but seem to have got there in the end

So now she wants me to get her an internet sounder ( not a speaker as in my previous post )

Could somebody point me in the in the right direction for what I need to purchase, and also the correct way to connect one of these into the panel, I've taken a cable from the panel to the point where the speaker is going already

Thanks very much

Use the speaker, it's what it's for.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Ok, that's only got 4 wired zones (better than none!) although you can use an expander.

Or six if you consider the 2 zones on the RKP as well
