@al-yeti - not sure mate.  How can I check?

 

@james.wilson - Your right, but because the alarm panel is wired in the basement, we don't have loud enough sound from keypad to alert us if an intruder managed to break-in.

 

@sixwheeledbeast - The original speaker is still on there too.  Can't I keep both?  They seem to be working fine and the sound-bomb is more than loud enough to wake the whole house up.

the keypad is just that low volume feedback etc

I've got to agree with you and hold my hands up.  Before I bought this alarm system, I thought I'd figure it out pretty quickly, but now I realise that I have bitten off more than I can chew.  I am almost there and majority of alarm system seems to be working fine, but some of the technical stuff I certainly do struggle with.
