Do these actually exist? I see people mentioning them and some PR but not much else.

Yeah, I can see they have grade 2 kit. Maybe too hard to get the standard, and not enough demand.

It was only Grade 3 under an old standard. May still be grade 3 in Ireland but not here.

How so? What do they do different to us?

They hadn't adopted the 2006 / 2009 version like us, but maybe they have now

to get G3 I think they need to be dual-tecs, Ultrasonics and MWD takes to much current. But I wonder why nobody has brought out a bigger battery box, mains or even solar power pack to fit locally to detectors?

the advantage of wireless is mainly to get fairly long distances between panel and detector, and detector in best place without the labour costs, be easy enough to hide such power packs behind book cases, in cupboards whatever, just using using short cables.

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

It's always easier to get power to detectors than it is data, anyway.

No requirement for dualtecs at grade 3. Check your copy of 50131 arf

Texecom to a G2 wireless dualtec, but you need masking for G3
