richardthatcher
What alarm panels are good for use with home automation? I have a customer that wants to be able to control lights and heating system but I don't have a clue on what equipment is best or to even run a mile and not get involved. Anyone have any advice? richardthatcher
was just looking up and texecom panels can do X10 too. I am waiting for the customer to tell me what exactly he wants to achieve out of this. In your opinion should I run a mile from this?
jnealon
Siemens SPC will do this but their tech support and customer service are useless. HKC would do most apart from the x10 which is over rated imo www.realsecurity.ie
james.wilson
I wouldnt use x10 for anything. Unfortunatly the UK manufacturers have been very slow in this area. I would look at a home automation unit that also does security securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. Paul. Giles
Tell them to keep separate and just use the RF stuff from screwfix for the automation. It works well. From my experience though the standard light switch tends to be used in the end for ease of use and the automation stuff just gets left.
