  1. I'd go for hardwired smoke detectors as per BS5839 PT6 and fit a relay unit onto the alarm system as a zone which would then give you notification of an activation (if it's monitored)
  2. I was told the normal pirs wernt 2 way or are you using the camera pirs?
  3. We would be fitting the Galaxy system. Nothing against the Scantronic Ion gear just, not used it in over 4 years. As RFS tho they so sound cheap, where abouts in the UK are you? Were the 3 quotes from SSAIB or NSI approved companies? I'd always recomend proper Monitering rather than a dialing ,last thing you want is for it not to work when it needs to, in my opinion that's more likely to happen with a dialer over pstn than with monitored communicator. Galaxy wireless is good but I'd go for the keypad rather than relying on the fob.
  4. Looks like they are giving away a tablet type version with the new Rasberh Pi's. I much prefer xp to windows 8 in terms of use on a PC so hopefully 10 should be a step in the right direction for a normal desktop OS
  5. I've heard of leaving some spare length before but that's taking the piss
  6. They are hit and miss.same with XLN. Sometimes they are a doddle and others just won't accept the settings for some reason. It swap it out for a netgear or belkin They are hit and miss.same with XLN. Sometimes they are a doddle and others just won't accept the settings for some reason. 7. Galaxy wireless would be okay at that distance. Got a site which about 15m though 2 stone walls and across a courtyard. The enforcer is a nice little domestic type panel, 2way wireless, keyfobs can be reprogrammed and it can be linked to an ARC or send SMS. As others I'd reccomend getting quotes for repetuable local company's. See SSAIB or NSI.
  8. Have you enabled hot keys? Its under 51-prams somehwere IIRC. Enable hotkeys and then function or PA and Set I think
  9. Exit term wants to be no and exit time 30 IIRC. I wouldn't recommend using a pir as Entry exit tho
  10. Sounds like you've got it setup for final door set instead of timed. Pram 51.04 exit time will be set at 00. Make it 30 and try again Does it set if you open and close the front door?
  11. Yes you connect to thier network and then use the normal udl software for the panel. Check with CSL on how the UDL workswith your panel tho. -doesn't work with galaxy G2 yet IIRC.
  12. Does the HD camera work on the DVR using the cameras analouge output?
  13. Look for another local SSAIB or NSI approved company and ask them for a quotation, the system is a fairly basic panel and most companies would be able to look after it for you. Where abouts are you in the UK?
  14. Might be the photo but 4&9 look well used... As above upgrade it to a Veritas or something.
  15. If it was my job I'd put the dualcom on pins and setup RSS. But that depends if your setup for RSS. Out of interest what's wrong with the PX?
  16. How old is the dualcom? Is it a UDL model or a standard GPRS unit? As above the data line will more than likely be wired in Standard 8 core.

Most I know would gladly swap it out. Its just getting passwords out of BT than can be a pain , apparently
  19. Wouldn't surprise me. BT and Sky both use subbies.
  20. IVMS for Mac works with the alien DVRs Alien CCTV window doesn't work with the HIKs tho.
