  3. Optima is enough I just realised I missed this in your OP. It's a basic domestic system, most installers will be able to work on that. Battery in the controls needs replacing every 4 years or so, they will probably start there.
  4. Do you know what model system you have?
  5. If it's disarmed it's likely to be a tamper fault, can you get the installer to come and check it over?
  6. HD is the name generally used for 720p, 1080p and also 1440p but could be used for anything >480p UHD is the name currently used for video better than HD, most common is 2160p referred to as 4K
  7. H264 is just video compression it has nothing to do with HD or not.
  8. It will be very useful heading forward to have good knowledge of networking, this is the way the industry is heading.
  9. The part arm delay is shared for all part sets. Yes, COMWiFi will do push on there app, make sure you have the correct COMWiFi for your panel (large black aerial).
  10. a) The DVR is providing the pivot, put simply if the DVR is not connected there would be no access to the LAN. b) Port Forwarding is opening a port through the firewall from the WAN to LAN. Therefore (in a domestic setup) if that LAN device is compromised there are no other layers of protection from other LAN devices. c) Yes d) There are no extensive tests on any DVR/NVR? Most of these are on a P2P network which I would agree are highly likely to be more vulnerable. I mentioned my opinions of the flaws with P2P DVR's, a while back.
  11. IMO this is going way off topic, but... You keep referring this to the same as "engineers codes", most seem to agree this is not the case. If any professional in the trade was fitting cheap DVR's shown as examples here, they won't be worried and neither will the customer. I don't know what you believe trade areas of the forum are for but there are no "engineers codes" shared on this site, trade or public.
  12. Shouldn't matter about DDNS on these.
  13. These require good knowledge of IT and Premier Panels to setup. Sounds like you have the panel or ComWifi incorrectly programmed. Best I can offer is start again and follow the manual for the ComWifi word for word, reading several times before starting. External Dynamic or Fixed IP will not matter if setup correctly.
  14. Err, well unless on engineer reset, no.
  15. Have you reset the system? It's possible the battery charging circuit is faulty or has a blown fuse.
  16. Assuming they're wired devices, it still sounds like a programming issue. It should work OTB, maybe if you can't find the attribute that's been changed start a fresh. I would also start to consider if the detectors are in the best location.
  17. Something is programmed incorrectly. This shouldn't happen. Call a local installer?
  18. You can't that would defeat the object of the alarm.
  19. Time to start selling iD biscuits for £50 each then.
  20. Do you not have a WP to test?
  21. Yeah there's Lead Carbon, Sealed Gel but also LiFePo batteries are getting popular for mobility stuff and available in 7Ah I believe. But again is it worth the cost, really the system needs checking yearly anyway.
  22. Lol, bit tricky to get the right voltage. You can get other types like gel and lithium but are they really worth the extra?
