  1. I still think this is satel breaking into u.k market they do try and sell here I believe, if it isn't , it's not a bad way to keep the satel links up instead of being blatant lol

why not just ask the rep from satel?

They seem to have a tech support manuals etc etc

Could be wrong of course I am tsi affected

  2. First decide on panels or panel your going to use , some allow different values on each zone some are fixed values for the particular panel

Then you will see what value is best

On an electronics point of view, I assume lower values example 500ohms may make things difficult to detect, faults tampers etc hence why higher values are used or no resistor with seperate tamper loop

    Experts may correct me here

  3. Today we have been 1st fixing intruder on a brand new build on a retail park in Dundee.

Sparky on site is fitting the fire alarm.

He thinks sticky pads and plasic ties meet the standards as 99% of his cables are fixed this way. No wonder we can't compete with these guys.

We're you matching the intruder with fire cable from sparky ie the one above?

  4. The Premier is not, not, NOT a DIY panel!!! It is BETTER than honeywell galaxy for ALL installations! The Veritas, I agree, is DIY and I do hate the transformer, but the Premier is the best panel on the market today.

NEVER JUDGE A PANEL JUST BY ITS INSTALLATION MANUAL!

The way the manual is written does not "automatically" influence the quality/excellency/"professionality" of a panel. It is simply telling you how THAT panel works and how you connect the zone wiring to THAT panel!!!

What about judging Op by his post?

However premier must have a wanted feature that others don't? I don't use them so what is it?

  5. I think your budget will be tight buying pro gear to tick all the boxes.

Also bear in mind pro gear generally comes with no manuals and will be complicated to setup.

Private reporting which isn't polled is useless if the signalling path fails.

Also I would always fit a contact on the entry door, and go wired wherever possible.

Best recommendation is to have some approved companies quote for a system.

    Approved for what? Urn ?

  6. Right then chaps

Just been for a survey and the client has 6 Italian whippets ranging from 6-16kg. She says they jump up onto window sills/worktops and they have free reign of the house when the humans are out. Any ideas on pet immune detectors or just tell her to lock them in a room when she goes out? Was thinking of contacts on all windows but she was thinking of having it policed so this wouldnt give me my confirmed alarm. Bit stumped at the moment so any help would be greatly appreciated :proud:

    cheers

So basically forget all pirs except one or two , and shocks and contacts on every opener

    nice job for you

    Plus beams
