  1. If your unhappy with the price that "Ace" charge you ring around other local alarm companies, however a one off repair to a domestic bells only alarm might not be of much interest to some firms ?
  2. I use AM, Like any of the others its head start from making your own but its just a frame work & you will put a lots time & effort into getting the best from it.
  3. raffiki turned into fike, however I think JSB had a "bi wire" heads that where "system sensor" ?
  4. Reading or replying with "lol" can be done via the mobile skin, A proper wordy replay needs "full version" & ideally a proper keyboard
  5. Fire alarm stuff by Cooper Menvier is a bit - meh... JSB "Bi-wire" was rafiki based detection before rafiki's appeared in the market place It then changed to something different? Now they have Meniver type heads? Cooper normally chop & change stuff w/o having backward compatibility Personally I'd prefer to retain cables, junk controls & devices & put my own kit in place. If you want to get the tat going, wire a callpoint onto a fly lead & make a circuit at the controls with just that item on & work your way though faults
  6. its probably a prop in the office of "men behaving badly)
  7. I've had a handful of premiers with "sticky" zones You program it to "X" but it behaves as "Y" eg- walkthough zone that goes into alarm during entry, (& when you check its deffo programmed correct) program it off, come out of engineering. Go back & put it back to walkthough & its fine I've experienced the same thing with other panels (either a optima+2, 9800 or TS790 forget which or maybe all?)
  8. even somewhere expensive like maplins the largest battery that will fit is under £50 Ebenezer, have your usual 3 ghosts made their Christmas visit yet ?
  9. its only 3 month, why rush...
  10. I've 5 static ip's but would have delegate the router config to someone less "alarm monkey"
  11. At some point I'm intending to put the works DVR on its own Vlan I've a draytek 2630 & a 2626pwr procurve switch I've never done one before, so was expecting to use the router ports as- p1 all vlans p2 vlan 2 (patch lead to HP switch) p3 vlan 3 (patch lead to DVR) p4 vlan 4 (not used) the switch also supports vlan should I need to access DVR from internal network I was intending just to plug the hp switch into p1 then back into p2 when finshed
  12. cyber, clear some pm's as there something i wanna send you...
  13. What evil **** can I do with ftp & a dm? being a simple alarm monkey I guess I can do better than just changing files until it bricks ?

  23. so lets try for a positive Risco post ? Their external sounders are very loud They deliver anything above £30.00 carriage free & promptly I no longer use sensors as I can buy better for less money, I no longer use controls as I can better for less money,
