  1. Don't worry stick around long enough & you will soon pick up the habit "two way" define what you & your "electronic's boffin" expects under the term, along with why an "XYZ" falls short
  2. Oh dear, it's "gone CAPSLOCK"
  3. bit like using a carrier pigeon-
  4. plastic dash, it smells nice (if your into leather ) peanut butter works well on faded plastics, just don't run over children with nut allergies...

  9. oh dear,
  10. the welders banned, the plumbers probably on o/t sorting out my issues....
  11. I popped on site today to drop in a loan monitor, I've seen the 9448 in one office before, there's a paxton switch 2 system by the same co. in the other office there a Modern branded 9500 which does a couple of fire doors massively over specced !
  12. Gaz, that's very insulting. Please remember I'm an alarm monkey..... swings off ladder & twists coloured wires
  13. back in 1994, I'd have put money that in 2015 if I was still daft enough to be doing alarms nobody would want low end plastic controls with the old fashioned led display..... guess which ***** is swapping a early 90's 9448 for a 9448 next week ?

  15. thought ADEMCO USA did combined fire & intruder panels ?
  16. your share tip is still 24p or 40% ish down too dear, std don't allow, I reckon the most domestic will remain cheap 9448's or cheap to fit radio systems
  17. say 868 on PH's link, these a much more modern than the items I thought you wanted (old square stuff sprung to mind)

  19. £19.80 + carriage
  20. you sound like one of those idealists that wants covers on joint boxes...
  21. At one time a screw was a requirement in the detector case? Apart from the Optex saver I can't think of any sensor w/o cover screws ?
  22. spend the £1 & show us how's it done... however I'd assume- you'll need to convert 12-5v to power it then, open collectors operating at 5v would need a relay for the galaxy ? used as an alarm shock sensor, as unstable as the middle east... add a volt free relay on the pi to operate when the shock does
  23. if there's a dispute drop off the old board & the rkp (if requested)& I'd default it within 7 days. FOC unless moneys owed then could get stuffed You can't have really secure engineer codes, its always going to be a comprise
  24. What's wrong with eBay 161702764982 ?
  25. assuming its the alarm, an old siren running at low voltage?
