  3. haven't seen one in long time, last one I touched was a munford & white unit in the local town hall. Replaced with dt7550 or similar ?
  4. "trade" alarm equipment has been sold to anyone & everyone for as long as I've been an alarm man. I can buy roof tiles, bricks ect.... it don't make me a builder

Alarm companies employ people to work on alarms, if your expecting someone from the company to talk you though & hold your hand while you modify their work you may surprised to find out "cheerio & good luck" might be the reply However I'd delete the radio keypad & relearn it, beware battery life & range are not amazing....

  8. stick 12v into line fault, if its starts smoking, remove or stick 0v into line fault, if starts smoking remove

  14. buy a battery & stick it on your old system or forward a picture of the keypad, end station & eternal sounder to the nearest independent alarm company- with the wording Hi following a power cut my alarm went faulty, how much would be to replace x no. of keypad the control panel & external sounder as spending £150 on your old tat is was of money....

I'd be not interested in touching a 9800, £80+vat to power it down, you'd have got the same answer 15yrs ago old tat out & new tat in a single visit, cabled measured before doing small euro + lcd power sonic the hedgehog size 7 battery flipping big pirs chunky contact glow in the dark ewd £400 + vat assuming the cables ain't short or damaged, I'm in 3rd world Northern town..
  18. 30 years ago ? 9600 was a smashing bit of kit as it had yes/no menu, something a euro has today bad software, bad menu's ?? Premier Elite has wonderful WFT about.... the other day I added a smartcom to Premer 24, the 6 inch of cable & dogshit plastic box fill my heart with joy...
  19. a 9800 could date back to the 1990's, buy a new alarm control panel with switch mode power supply ?
