Guessing myself Right led flashes? What's left led doing ? Red or green Is it in secure or insecure mode , as I thought one mode requires both fob and code in some sequence
-
I think Imran thought you were the customer not the installer and has confused the issue

That would be my guess. but as factory standard the timer is usually too long. Have you put the com and n/c in series with the lock and power? I know its a daft question but I have no idea of your ability
-
Not used one. Is the strike time really short? Does the strike lock require the same voltage as the KP? Have you tested your findings with a multimeter? Is it just not wired correctly or some other simple mistake?

Keypad on Galaxy Flex 20 only shows ********
PeterJames replied to Bram de Vries's topic in General Security & Fire Queries
If you know what you are doing you could, but I wouldnt advise it if you know nothing about alarms and you dont have anyone you can call, or spare parts. The keypad is used to control the system, if you down power and power up and the keypad still doesnt work you wont be able to silence it. There could be a number of reasons why your panel has done this, if it hasnt been serviced in a while all the batteries will be u/s, it could be a cable has been damaged it could be the keypad has died. Post where you are (Town) there maybe someone on here able to help Galaxy is a well loved known brand and most good engineers know it even if its not their weapon of choice nowadays -

Keypad on Galaxy Flex 20 only shows ********
Stijn replied to Bram de Vries's topic in General Security & Fire Queries
Hello, I seem te be having a similar problem, yesterday my alarm started displaying the same issue. Only it had been working perfectly for the past 5-6 years. The problem now seems that my installer seems to have gone out of business and nobody want to touch this old thing. I'm capable of doing a reboot (disconnect mains and battery) myself but am wondering if this wil have any influence on the problem. Regards Stijn - Yesterday

You do you are correct, but I was comparing apples with apples, only my apples were much nicer than the apples that the OP was suggesting, those are only good for pig fodder. With my apples you could make one of those lovely lattice apple pies, or a nice cool glass of Cider, or just eat them as is. Yep you could have it monitored and the SIM would be included in the package, or you can just buy a PAYG SIM or add another SIM to your existing Mobile package

Id swerve both of those and go for something like https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/intruder-alarm-equipment-c-36/remote-signalling-c-36_57/pyronix-v2-gsm-speech-dialler-with-automation-control-p-2428.html Im surprised that Pyronix didnt recommend the above as an option, I say surprised but Im not https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/intruder-alarm-equipment-c-36/remote-signalling-c-36_57/eaton-universal-4g-speech-dialler-p-6447.html

Does that app itself allow SMS? I assume it's a free service he is using ? If your going to pay for an extra SIM with that many alerts it's pointless, cheaper to get better monitoring and have that included

This looks promising if it can connect to the Pyronix Enforcer https://www.adk-security.com/products/gjd-gsm-sim-card-speech-and-text-dialler-gjd710?srsltid=AfmBOor9YHxvd_Mb-zjWJH_uijVtXaf_wqwdDIbAhtQDxnqguhvVzir_ GJD 4G GSM Sim Card Speech and Text Dialler (GJD710) https://www.adk-security.com/products/gjd-gsm-sim-card-speech-and-text-dialler-gjd710?srsltid=AfmBOor9YHxvd_Mb-zjWJH_uijVtXaf_wqwdDIbAhtQDxnqguhvVzir_

I also had a look on Google and it says: Yes, a 4G speech dialer can indeed call a mobile number. These dialers are designed to alert you via phone call or text message when an alarm or event is triggered, and they can certainly send alerts to mobile phone numbers. Here's a more detailed explanation: 4G Technology: 4G speech dialers utilize 4G cellular technology to establish a connection and make calls, similar to how mobile phones work. Alerts: When an alarm or other event is triggered, the dialer will automatically initiate a call or send a text message to a pre-programmed list of contacts, which can include mobile phone numbers. Flexibility: These dialers are versatile and can be used with various alarm systems and other applications, making them suitable for a wide range of situations.

Thanks mate. He’s using the app but doesn’t keep his mobile with him most of the time. Pyronix say I can enable an ARC to receive alerts via the DIGI-WIFI and then they would call him What do you think?
