December 8, 20205 yr comment_507051 Hello I am wondering if someone could give me some pointers on the settings. My friend has just taken over a workshop with a 9800 alarm we had to do a chip reset due to a crash when there power failed. I have got it working but having trouble setting the entry settings. It goes off as soon as you walk in or now got it set so you have to put entry code in twice or it goes mad after a bit. I can not get the panel to give the worning when you walk through the door. I am wondering if any one could help thanks chris Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/44263-scantronic-9800/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 December 9, 20205 yr comment_507056 If it's been reset, do you know if the rest of the panel is programmed right? I have known them to not save some settings you program in when they are dying. Really wants replacing if you want it to be reliable. December 9, 20205 yr comment_507063 As above these have a habit of the NVM going faulty, needs to be reprogrammed from scratch, and fully testing to ensure it doesn't spaff the programming again on power loss. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. December 9, 20205 yr comment_507067 IIRC The first door or device which see you enter = Final Exit Any other device after this which is part of the entry route needs to be Entry Route the 9800 dates back to 1989 ish, personally I'd rip it off the wall & stamp it...
