james.wilson
I would think you want on entry route. royb
no full setting as the upstairs is avaiable for burglars to get in through windows very easy via a downstairs bow window to an upstairs window Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43166-veritas-r8-problem/#findComment-489303 Share on other sites
datadiffusion
You need to program (and use) part set for nights then, this does not mean you cannot have full coverage, just that the behaviour of some zones is different at night, e.g. not an instant alarm but a delayed one. Edited October 2, 2019 by datadiffusion So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43166-veritas-r8-problem/#findComment-489304 Share on other sites
sixwheeledbeast
You can program systems to do whatever you need but the best solution is using the part set. The correct term for Texecom panels is "Guard Access" or "Inhibited Entry". You will need to reprogram the Part set function for Zone 2 to be Entry/Exit and the full set for Zone 2 to be Inhibited Entry Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43166-veritas-r8-problem/#findComment-489306 Share on other sites

sixwheeledbeast
Option 12 to 2 Option 22 to 1 Clear the panel down to day mode. Use the Part button to test it works Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43166-veritas-r8-problem/#findComment-489309 Share on other sites
royb
That does not help! dont know what you are asking me to do re 'clear the panel down' looks like i will have to get an electrcian in as starting to get a bit confusing Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43166-veritas-r8-problem/#findComment-489310 Share on other sites
norman
Probably for the best, but I'd go for a security company rather than an electrician. 2 Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. aissecur
I assume you haven't installed this...? If so may be worth try part setting it to see how the PIR on zone 2 behaves when set on part set, it may be set up as an entry and allow you sufficient time to unset the system Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43166-veritas-r8-problem/#findComment-489315 Share on other sites
