Texecom Galaxy firmware

Featured Replies

I have a Texecom Elite 48, a few years old. it has an old firmware v.2.02 which is a long way behind the current versions.

Although it's always worked well I was wondering if it was worth updating the firmware.

Can a panel this old be updated to the latest version or is it restricted by the hardware?

Would I really get any benefit or is it best to leave it alone?

Thanks for any help!

If its working and does everything you need then there is no point. Galaxy and Texecom are two different brands BTW

I have no idea what a Texecom Galaxy is.

As for Texecom Elite you should leave it alone unless you need a specific feature.

However to answer the question all Elite hardware can be flash updated with the flasher board and Wintex, there are the odd minor feature that are unavailable on older Elite hardware.

Sorry my mistake about Galaxy :)   I'd been reading about other devices just to keep up to date.

Thanks for the advice. Probably best to leave it alone.

Both brands are well supported here, I know more on the gal side personally but 6wb is much better on texecom

No, this was the secret panel they created for the aborted takeover, OP is very welcome to post pics in the collectors area ;)

Joking aside, yes with older panels especially non-cloud types the best advice is definately to leave alone if it works
