Texecom speech and text Dialler , Text not working

Featured Replies

Hi All,

i have Texecom veritas R8 , 6 zones, 3 key pads, 1 bell box texecom.

i have added the texecom speech/text Dialler and it is connected as the installation manual.

Telephone works when the Alarm is tested for voice message.

But it does not work for Text message.

it is all wired up correctly and the Alarm system is working fine.

text is not working.

Don't bother using TAP text messaging it is unreliable.

You'll probably get the messages next week if at all...

Well then use the maintained tap service , but it's expensive not worth it for a general txt

Your better off using outputs and connecting to a gsm dialler and get a contract SIM that you don't have to top up, just have an SMS max

Then keep the phone  dialer aswell

I try to avoid speech diallers,

IIRC the last time I had the misfortune of touching a Texecom speech dailer it had all the menu's for texting but was the speech only product.

Yes there are two versions, cheaper speech only (CGA-0001) and speech and text (CGC-0001). The cheaper one does have all the menus too.
