May 9, 20178 yr comment_462669 Just looked on ebay and the absolute oldest Skoda for sale (that I can see) is 2003... How things change. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41207-my-alarm-was-jammed/page/2/#findComment-462669 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 May 9, 20178 yr comment_462676 CCTV provides a false sense of security to a lot of people, the market is flooded with rubbish due to this. I wouldn't bother with CCTV from what you have said. If you consider how it would benefit your security and you'll find it probably won't. Are you going to stay up every night and watch the CCTV to react to them jimmying the patio doors? Are you likely to be able to use the CCTV to identify any crims after the event? Probably not. If you buy a professionally fitted alarm system you should expect to pay a one off fee for installation and a maintenance fee yearly. This is the same as your Yale will have only a bit dearer, because it's a more secure system. May 9, 20178 yr comment_462677 Potentially if you have CCTV, someone will break in and steal the DVR, they then get to take away the DVR with all their own burglary on it along with anything else up for grabs Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41207-my-alarm-was-jammed/page/2/#findComment-462677 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 May 9, 20178 yr comment_462678 As above, but if you feel it's a must for some reason, either get it fitted professionally (although that doesn't mean much these days) or buy a *decent* brand broken IP dome cam like an Axis or Panasonic and stick it up at the rear as a convincing looking deterrent.
