David Andrews
The unit they replaced it with is the newer scantronic one with a flip down lid. The PIR's have all been replaced minus the one in the study, which ive just replaced with a new one. Can you advise what EOL wiring is please. thanks again. The hallway has just a PIR not contacts. thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41008-scantronic-error/page/2/#findComment-459630 Share on other sites

Pretty much, this (ignore the 'Premier' bit, and ignore 'T' and 'A' just imagine the two terminals for each zone - and the Scantronic uses the same resistors which should be in the box) I'm pretty sure this is in the installers manual that's with the panel. With this you can ditch the common tamper and the extra pair of wires to each zone. Plus the panel will report tampers individually. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/41008-scantronic-error/page/2/#findComment-459631 Share on other sites

A quick sketch of the place with placement of the PIRs would help a lot. Great when they go faulty, either eternal sleep or stay active with the LED on. If latter power them down first so you don't burn fingers on them. That's the original one with the screw top centre, instead of underneath.
