cybergibbons Posted August 21, 2013 Share Posted August 21, 2013 This article is promoting the 1% of cases where the CCTV is clear, the theft is within view of the CCTV, the thief's face is visible, it gains traction on social media, and he's easily recognisable. All of that equals a convictions. The other 99% of the time, the CCTV will be ****, the theft will be right on the edge of it, he'll be wearing a hat, no one will care, and you can't recognise him. A ground anchor and chain + padlock would have cost a lot less and stopped the whole thing from happening.
