  1. Looking solely at the figures, if you've got money to burn go for the Agility. Both Risco and Scantronic are good manufacturers but are your 'quoting companies' just plucking figures out of thin air ?
  2. "..just take a picture post it up..sorted its not hard, otherwise people just think your talking ****...." Here we go again ! Goncall if you think I'm talking **** so be it, that's not held against you. If everyone else thinks I'm just talking **** then so be it... Name the "people" ???
  3. A firm called LLanfihangel Alarms, only subbing to them though for a few months.
  4. A line fail (LF) mod will cause a local alarm where fitted.
  5. Goncall, I love you to bits but I have had a lot of hassle on this one, My original post was a basic question placed in good faith..and for the most part answered likewise..you may have noticed a few of my posts both yesterday and today regarding this topic, under the circumstances, and for the benefit of the site, it might be better to let this one die a natural death, were I to upload anything at the moment then it throws yet another spanner in the works..Hope.. I know.. you understand. Thanks.
  6. Might as well leave it here Spike, nothing wrong with a double input of this sort. Fair 50mm gap..a good suitable all-rounder.
  7. How times change Timmo, We were on call from clocking off at 5pm on a Friday to 8am the following monday, so no drinks, no socialising etc..just waiting for a call from the central station (arc), we had our own which doubled as a 24hr office and call outs meant going to one-off's, non contract.. boss was a real money grabber.
  8. Goncall:- "......couple of calls a year on a bells only 9800..." Do you mean to the same address and the same panel ? If so, about how many calls to the same address..no ulterior motive...I am just being curious.
  9. So the average alarm owner would not be able to call you in an emergency then ? but I do understand your business policy..I think !!
  10. No link at the moment, would need to go into my ebay account..but try searching 'multicore alarm cable'... If you are pressing me for the actual purchase details I can look for it later, if that's any help.
  11. "...But you have some..." Now you have turned the tables completely on yourself. Nothing personal though..just that the comment would be 'blasted' within a legal environment. Perhaps if you read your previous posts you might, just might but I doubt it, be able to see absolutely clearly that your 'case', if you ever had one, would be thrown out by the court immediately. And before you ask, "No ! I am not going to explain, neither to you nor anyone else, this is a security forum not law, and I did not want to introduce that aspect, but there was little to no alternative when confronted by just four 'incriminating' words. You might want to consider asking a kid in school studying A level law for some insight as regards 'how to lose a case with four words'..Case for the defendant rests..your honour !!!
  12. Try buying some tat off ebay, I haven't the time nor the compunction to do research for professionals:- Alyeti, do yourself a favour and read my original post, there is no indication nor suggestion of uploading. The question has been answered to my satisfaction by well meaning individuals. So, here we go again:- Sorry about this folks, I need to post this in the several posts where Alyeti has triplicated his question. You've got absolutely no chance. You either know the answer to the original post or you don't.. come to that, even if I bothered to upload you would still call me a liar and a blagger, as usual, with the photos staring you in the face... and I very rarely if ever, use four core, but there again you would call me a liar on that one as well. My apologies to everyone, but wherever I see Alyeti's question I'm afraid I shall have no alternative but to re-post again. For the benefit of the site, I have absolutely no quarrel with Alyeti.
  13. "...His advert said no Charlies..." Now I'm seeing this, Brilliant one liner Admin2, I like it.

  16. Thought it might be two whites Spike, those were the usual colours at one time, nice post you've made.

  19. Yes, I can see the difference in the pcb's Mr. Happy. Alyeti:- "....Now, Where's the pictures of the 12core next to the normal 4 core you use?..." Yet again, this is probably the third time you've followed me around with that question..I shall reply presenty..In MY time.
  20. If a client does not have a service or maintenance contract then he is just that 'a client'. If the client intends for his property to be insurance approved I believe that he would require 'on going' contracts. So, a client is just that, and only for the benefit of future visits it may be worth keeping a log in the office of what the last callout to the property entailed. I'm not really in love with the concept of keeping a log beside a control panel, with the exception of fire where it may be a prerequisite of BS5839 (open to comment). I like the idea of using tablets, but there is nothing like hard copy and if they (the powers that be)insist on particular procedures it might be better to 'stick with them' for the time being and bring your ideas to them at a later date. "...Where's the pictures of the 12core next to the normal 4 core you use, or is it blag ? Or maybe confusion?..." Alyeti I shall reply in a few minutes, give this guy a chance to read his posts.

    Hi

    Hello Wesl, welcome.
  22. Handy devices, but I reckon the better ones are a little more costly.. there again, how often would you use it ?
  23. "..Put your glasses on uncle arf, if you look carefully you'll note the electronics with the box are completely different size & shape.." I'll do as you say Mr Happy... if you are suggesting that the printed circuit board components are a different size & shape that would not alter patent infringement in this case but SixWheeledBeast says there's no copyright issues etc. So I fail to see where anyone would go from there. It's worth raising the question though, " If I were to copy say a keypad facia or control panel facia from Scantronic, could they then have a case against me ? And yes, I'll put my glasses on.
