  1. Can confirm the above is a well documented and very cost effective solution. EDIT: At home, that is, for anything we sell I use proper APs, ubiquiti are good if you need wireless for any substantial reason. Here for business I DO share the household Infinity but have a dual WAN router with '3' 3G card and giffgaff on the laptop. Also just started using EE 4G at the new workshop and have to say v.impressed, metal shed yet infinity like speed.
  2. And always were AFAIK, only the higher end stuff like Karizma made over here in pre-honeywell ADE days wasn't it?
  3. Yes, indeed it's easy to forget most JP aren't as stupid as the average alarm monkey!
  4. Hi, we do NOT allow advertising or direct contact with members by unknown companies here on TSI, if that is what you are looking for.
  5. Lets all go hold hands in fairy land...
  6. Hands finance receipt for can of foam from screwfix...
  7. To be fair, despite being 'conventional' (not mirror) the Siemens eLine we use now are proving to be very, very good, and have been great for tricky areas.
  8. Majority of mine are old wedge shaped alarmcom in the field though, the ones rebadged as Siemens and still sold until a few months ago.
  9. Still, I expect it'll last until at least 3am When I went back to an out-of-contract customer having a loft extension last week (I was there for 2 days in the end, in part due to what you're about to read), builders were about to attempt to chop around a twin alert and a smoke by moving them still attatched to the plasterboard!!
  10. Do those bells have huge 1.2Ah yuasas like the initial ones?
  11. To be honest I'd that Aritech is pretty niche here too, not to mention esoteric! Surprised that Jablotron isn't a bigger player, Bosch intruder panels are pretty much dead over here other than the sensors. This is all they sell in the UK - http://uk.boschsecurity.com/uk_product/products_4/intrusionalarmsystems_5/controlpanelsandkeypads_5/easyseries_4/easyseries_4_4307 Not even quite sure who or what it's aimed at.
  12. Hi there, welcome to TSI. I think most of us here started by playing around with stuff, either at home or college etc...
  13. Hi, dont forget you can apply for trade access after 5 posts.
  14. Latest cut n shut based on the Maestro... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GlFCnL91SkE/U6Rx6LNf9aI/AAAAAAAAAiA/kO_xXhy7qUQ/s1600/Yema+F12.jpg This really is a hybrid of a Montego and a Maestro; http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/cars/austin/maestromontego/faw-lubao-ca6410/
  15. hello, and welcome back soon!
  16. Makes sense after all they still sell a version of the Maestro over there... http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/cars/austin/maestromontego/lubao-ca6410/
  17. TBH I just assumed still available due to listing on current website - https://www.visonic.com/Products/Wired-Detectors/Clip-ch-4n
  18. Exactly, although good for attracting attention in hospital when theres no intercomm...
  19. On the visonic website, guess so.
  20. Any PIR with look-down such as a Siemens mounted at the ceiling? Or is the issue that you don't want it triggered from the landing at night? Had no idea anyone used pads after 1980!
  21. Alarmed cover, alarm which self-resets?
  22. Yeah monitored alarm for unset then sniped. Got to get those fa stats down somehow.
  23. As above have used the above with 6 cats and another customer for 6 months with 2 large labs (now just one, sadly!). Both monitored systems, set regularly.
