  1. Hi Nathan,

I'm considering emigrating to Oz this year and am curious to find out the job prospects of securing work out there. I'm a service engineer for a national company in London with 4 years experience. Is a security engineers wages enough to live on out there and is there much work? Any advice would be brilliant :)

    Thanks,

    Chris

  2. Thanks matt that certainly gives me food for thought. I had a friend say it was a difficult to get NSI approved but insurance companies do seem to be more favoured towards NSI than SSAIB... I'm in no rush to get approved but need it in place eventually.
  3. Hi Matt, What's the process like for new companies for NSI/SSAIB? I'm considering it myself later this year.. Regards Nathan
  4. Fantastic will do thank you, I'm back and ready to go in October
  5. hi all, Thanks for the offer timmo66 but i'm actually going back to be a self employed sub contractor. My expertise is in medium to large cctv, access and inturder. Sainsbuy's, Morgan Stanley, Casinos and PC Worlds are my kinda forte, having said this i have spent the last 3 years here in Oz installing residential to small commercial. But like i mentioned its a totally different game, lifting roof tiles to cable, no insulation in the cavitys so drill and fish and the manufactures are not a patch on the UK market. Looking forward to getting back into the UK market. Thanks for all the hello's. I googled to kind out if there was a forum on security installers and found this site!! Enjoying reading all the previous posts and chuckling at the wall of shame photos!!
