No your incorrect you must have done something wrong , that gives you fault tones and exit entry and so on , only follows bell on intruder alert as such Sounds as though you connected it up wrong as there's two terminals for the speaker , easily connected to strobe if your not looking Either way speaker terminal gives you chime , exit entry , fault tones , I fitted loads of these in the past , so you wired it up wrong or something These panels are really basic in some respects but easily damaged if not experienced enough

Yes so the bell output is powered so you cant connect speakers to it I thought on that panel there are two terminals for the speaker not one?
-
good point though geezer! Op what did you wire it to? And what was exact model Either way it's normally one of those problems
-
The sonit is a power sounder not speaker I thought, you cannot connect powered sounders to speaker outputs and you cannot connect speakers to power outputs For speaker connections generally a 16ohm speaker is what you should have connected to the speaker output Sounders are normally connected to the bell output or a power sounder output but again be careful as to where and how you connect it if negative trigger then one leg to positive and other leg to bell output Using a powered sounder on the bell output also has to be checked for its current consumption , you cannot put to much load on the bell output But in general for those panels use an additional speaker on speaker output calculating what your doing I used the word "power" for sounders so you see the diff with normal speakers otherwise it's not said that way really Chime will work if chime is on when panel unset as you said it will chime on keypad and speaker

Ah beat me to it! As he said resolve your power issue I would check again your settings you may have missed something , did the place. ever use a pstn connection? How did you drop each line?
-
Didn't think you need to power Rios down if it's the com on the panel , just power cycle the panel, If it doesn't work save the configuration and remove one line at a time to see how many modules get removed this would prove your theory that there is no other device somewhere extra on the line But as above pstn otherwise

If you have a meter you can work out alarm contacts and tamper ? You need a tamper proof junction box and can put resistors in there if you want to

Still no luck with what? I thought it was dialling and calling you with only problem being the tone in tandem Question, does it ring your mobile? The informa , if yes no need to open the main panel, it has to be the dialled Question, do you mean the informa is "dialling" but you mean tries to dial and as it does so the engaged tone comes up? The informa starts playing the message as soon as it starts dialling that's normal for it So same question when you say it dials, does it actually get your mobile to ring? If not then as I said before your getting an engaged tone when informa is dialling out and has to be to do with the line Ok I think reading over you mean the informa performs the dialling operations but does NOT actually dial out because the line is not allowing you to dial out, engaged tone means line restrict for some reason Inability to dial landline numbers means your line is restricted to incmoning only, please read over this thread again

You said " Today, I have been running tests on the dialler and everything functions as it should" But you also say its doesnt dial out on alarm? So to me it sounds as if there is no dial tone on the informa or it isnt seeing the dial tone, i assume your phone is a standard phone? or is it an ip phone connected to the router? which might make sense why that wil still work, if thats the case what happens if you plug in a standard phone might be wrong but inof didnt add up above unless i read it wrong

G2 are bit easier for home users I think, GD48 has advantage of telling you open zone in setting, but then g2 offers you the part and night set options for a home user a little better , rather than the gd with a and b key and using codes and extra tags for what you want G2-20 or g2-44 would do the job?
