What panel is installed at the moment?
-
So is it still going off? And what does that mean, whats it doing exactly?
-
Does the keypad still work?
-
Like what you did there.
Taught by the best keep it coming
-
I find that truly astounding.
I never went to college!
Coolio
-
Had a lecturer in college , good electronics teacher but refused to believe laser sighting existed this was in 1988

What a load of rubbish, question for you, are you the boffin Charlie? If not why you asking a question when you know the answer , how many times you going to change your mind or direction
Blagger
-
Al-Yeti "...Whoever asking is talking rubbish.."
Thanks for the reply, in response to your question ... I am asking.. I am asking a perfectly legitimate question in my original post.
Hi Mr Happy, your quite right I do have an uncle called Arfur.
You said your lecturer was asking, now you changed the story again.....

Lol

"....all this stuff here in the forums is just chit chat and opinions?..." So no irrefutable proof then.
"....You do realise professional advice is paid for..." But you just said it's chit chat and opinions.
"...OP why are you being evasive?..." I can't for the life of me think of one reason for being evasive, nor can I point to any post where I am being deliberately evasive, Why would I do so, I have stated the views of a lecturer in electronics and look to yourself and fellow professionals for concrete evidence to the contrary, I have no intention of starting a war here, if no one can offer irrefutable proof then we'll drop the subject... but check out some of the evasive and sometimes personal replies Norman, viz;
"....i can only assume whoever is asking the question over and over again is somewhere on the autistic spectrum..."
What you mean "irrefutable proof then."?
You want a circuit diagram and explanation of how it works? Whoever asking is talking rubbish , what's irrefutable ? And about any device and what it does? Unless we say all manufacturers are basically talk rubbish?
Electronic s boffin should think about it himself as he would know how and what circuits do to component level,
What's his qualifications please?
-
You had irrefutable proof in post 4. You walk around the house on a 2 way system, leds on DETECTORS do not light up as you walk round, then put the panel in walk test and walk round and leds on DETECTORS light up now. If this is not clear proof the panel is signalling back to the detectors to activate them then i can only assume whoever is asking the question over and over again is somewhere on the autistic spectrum.
Only if it's two way
-
"....so how is that 2 way?.."
I didn't say it was. On the contrary, these are not my remarks they are the comments of the electronics lecturer outlined in the original post, where he maintains that there is not two way occuring in a standard wireless system, anything I insert thereafter is not my opinion but rather a portion of his original comment..I am merely seeking the advice of this site's experts. The question is in the opening post.
Now you changed your original statment from some saying "two way..." And now your saying standard wireless

I'm referring to the Texecom ones here, as Pyronix ones are on all the time.
? Texecom and Pyronix (& prob Honeywell) are two way as the panel requests information from the detectors (signal, battery info) and then sends it back when you or I request at any time. If it was 1-way then you/I would have to wait until it polls the information.
If it was one way, what you means , "polls the info" one way means there is no info in some cases???
On most panels I know, why do the leds only light up in walk test? This alone is proof that the detectors have received an instruction from the panel.
Yes talking about two way panels, one way panels don't do this
-
Ok bref meant "in most TWO way panels..."
-
But detector needs to receive message from panel to turn on LED's so receives from panel and then sends to panel 2-way.
Don't you meant detector opens relay and lights led in panel ,
Question was prove its 2way, one way panel led lights in walk test , so I dint get it
You lot to old for this lol
-
TAP messaging isn't to be relied upon for signalling.
For diy it does a job, not sure if I would have it to show all events though as the call cost will be big!

I don't get that?
Walk test proves detector sending signal not receiving
-
Stops them asking for a lift
-
Never used this panel, but pgms are your outputs yes? As in optional outputs and the provided the zone is programmed as a panic should work regardless of the pgm output?
Can you not put each button on its own zone? Easier to identify then
-
Lol depends some say blaggers have shooters some say blagging is lying
But hasn't been clarified on what type of blagger it is , there's a few more definitions
-
How do they blag? Apparently I say the right things , I wanna see if I can improve man!
-
So just to try it, temporarily make it a dmz and it should send all traffic there , then that would show you havnt set the port forwarding correctly

"....Being Jewish has nothing to do with it You meant "Israeli friends" which covers all..."
I didn't know there was any difference, still I'll use 'Israeli friends' in future... What are the posts about politics all about ?
Israeli are a combination of relgions
And nuking don't taste as good, grill is better
-
ooh little bit of politics there ladies and gentlemen...
Where's that bit from lol
