Anyone thought of or gone down the road of renting systems and fixed term contracts.....I know it's ADT (sorry for swearing) route. But people like a free install and monthly pay. Don't know how much is involved with setting up credit agreement, advice welcome
I was once told
"He's onto something"
" you have allot of money?"

Full picture?
Any of those resistors touching each other? Id of thought it should have an onboard tamper it's not missing is it?
Plus are the eol the correct value
Looks it

Both one way systems though , new panels not updated far enough

No, engineer code, is mostly on-site alarms and doesn't bring up a menu screen when connected ,unless you know the make perhaps
DVR do bring up menu , but again who cares on low end budget bought with not much else on the network
Of course the £300 brigade installing in our local businesses will be causing problems , but again you want to pay for rubbish then its what you will get
I eat waffles for breakfast
I don't actually know what your on about Elec ?
-
"No offence seriously"That's it then, just leave it for the next 10,000 to read...
My point is, this site in particular is full of security professional's who when it suits act all hush hush about engineering codes etc, yet leave this in public view....
Daft...
But anyway enough of that...
Seems an IT networking guru will need to be on hand to be truly safe?
But your talking rubbish , generally some stuff is on the web not all codes and many wouldn't know what to do with them anyway, they are simply protecting the ones they install for because nature of people is to mess with there system by not giving out info and of course the teefs who will have ago at something
IT guru can makr mistakes to

CG your point is the DVR makes an open way to get to the rest of the network which for some can be disastrous , what about any DVRs being used in data sensitive companies , looks asthough any using hikvision here , what are they like in terms of security
-
Problem is mass market will raise eyebrows and say oh well I bought it now and the £300 brigade installed it so who cares
So then moving onto higher end products is where we want to see this secure

No one cares anyway

Even if secure passwords are setup?

Thanks for your reply mate. When I went home I did the following but it didn't work.
Enter master code.
42.1 (Program users)
Select a user account and 'ent'
Select option 5 (RF Fob)
Press '*'
Then press any key on the fob to populate the serial number
The above all worked fine but when I pressed the panic alarm button, the lights would flash but nothing else. With regards to selecting a user account to assign the fob to. I created a new user and assigned the fob to that. Is that right? or should I have selected an existing user and assigned it under them. I have also replaced the batteries so I know its not that.
Also looking at option 50 (engineer), there is a hot key option. Does this need to be enabled?
Thanks in advance
Ok but it's not what I said , as galaxyguy gave more detail that will fix it, as the options has to enable the function to work in the settings

On bell two modes set one to scb and other sab , this ensures both bells don't draw power from panel
And note how they were both wired
-
You said bells? If there's two then don't forget to set them correctly if two others no issue

Visonic kit is good, albeit 1 way and slighlty looming in the past but Pyronix gear is better though, 2 way, better diagnotics due to this and home (British) made with good tech support. Mind can't slate Visonic as their support has been good in the past!
What do you find good about visonic?
-
Dvr will be a pain for testing
-
Maybe , sometimes having info won't help either , just in case have you tried a different controller
-
Bin it , and get something you can work on , or as mentioned by yourself being out of trade they won't be to fussed to help you
To be fair , all these house basher's between them have used most of the good equipment, you sure it isn't shenzen job?
