  1. Easiest thing geezer take a cable direct to panel or remove keypad and wire it in near the keypad , loop of tampers and get it to work there perhaps
  2. I use cardboard boxes, moving crates, all kinda stuff, just not disciplined like you guys , housing bashing is the way forward give it up! Or try to squeeze as much as I can I to a twin makita drill box standard , screws spilled all inside to
  3. Ok I understand that , but I didn't think the mk3 was introduced for this reason, more for interferencebon broadband and as you said increase speed
  4. Eh? I thought it was to improve noise on the broadband what's it gotnto do with ringer circuit? I may have read you wrong
  5. Think he said three different batteries could mean anything
  6. He tried three batteries , I say it's the panel , had some where they give either continuous battery mis or mains fail , probably sold on eBay for that Raise case on eBay asap not as described
  7. So is it built into the panel signal level etc , meaning you could make one up
  8. Yeah it will work , discussed this with Mr texe a while ago , but with a contact in an IP box half way used as a repeater
  9. Plenty of installers , maybe panel is blocked hence defaulting won't work and you must get an installer who either knows how or install a new panel
  10. Hik vision and Samsung Maybe not high end but commonly used by installers from what I seen
  11. Admit it's your answer to drop the ion
  12. They still going because people don't want to spend otherwise they would bin them , and in some cases companies to expensive or putting in more rubbish in its place
  13. At least they finally answered why they havnt developed the g2
  14. Both one way systems though , new panels not updated far enough
  15. No, engineer code, is mostly on-site alarms and doesn't bring up a menu screen when connected ,unless you know the make perhaps DVR do bring up menu , but again who cares on low end budget bought with not much else on the network Of course the £300 brigade installing in our local businesses will be causing problems , but again you want to pay for rubbish then its what you will get I eat waffles for breakfast I don't actually know what your on about Elec ?
  16. "No offence seriously"But your talking rubbish , generally some stuff is on the web not all codes and many wouldn't know what to do with them anyway, they are simply protecting the ones they install for because nature of people is to mess with there system by not giving out info and of course the teefs who will have ago at something IT guru can makr mistakes to
  17. CG your point is the DVR makes an open way to get to the rest of the network which for some can be disastrous , what about any DVRs being used in data sensitive companies , looks asthough any using hikvision here , what are they like in terms of security
  18. Problem is mass market will raise eyebrows and say oh well I bought it now and the £300 brigade installed it so who cares So then moving onto higher end products is where we want to see this secure
