If it is on a jewellery shop with extra thick laminated glass it is very unlikely audio will ever work old modern alarms bgd could be crudely tested with keyring the rattle used to trip this is very hit and miss with the ones made today or buy the proper test device emits the freq of smashing glass .The old school way to protect glass was vibration inertia set for gross attack {gardo} or the aritech pizo bond on type or foil all of which worked if fitted correctly against a hammer attack vipers work well today if there is no road traffic or rattling shutters

Hi when you work as slave you get all the **** jobs [as sub contractor] that's why we have takeovers the company tried to be clever and took the maint contract for a chain of corner shops go in change the panel -sas -fit redcare all at a fixed price and 8 hours labour very little profit and all the agro of free callouts just lots of new bell boxes

Hi If the system requires a level one response [police] adt will retain the urn. It is easy to rip the panel out and replace with new Texecom or Eaton , adt takeovers always throw up a hidden gem usually no cable to the sas or cables not marked zone list missing etc must of changed several hundred over the last five years

The psu was a major problem on these does not like to keep 17 ah battery fully charged. it uses the battery like a giant smoother capacitor if the panel powered any thing other than the sas or redcare it pushed it to its limit so had to always power network and detectors from separate psu

Hi regardless if the battery is new or old ,no alarm will last a 30 hour power cut once the battery is completely exhausted. . ie flat they will never recharge from the control panel the design is to provide approx. 8 hours battery power and then recharge within approx. 24 hours once the battery is flat the control box does not have the capacity to recharge it with out damage to the circuit board so a replacement battery is the cheaper option. The wireless battery replacement is often done early as precaution whilst on a service call otherwise people complain about paying twice when the low battery warning starts only a few months after the last visit

hi silly question do you have a standalone battery powered smoke detector you would be amazed how many times we have all been on a callout only to find its the smoke alarm battery going flat

Just a quick question on your phone is mobile data reception any better out side in the garden, if yes can you fit t bar outside the higher up the better. On gsm band the loss on coax length at 10m is extremely high wifi coax may look the same but it is just cheap tat at this band. A high gain antenna from a redcare gsm module or gsm antenna from a car phone kit might solve the problem try flea bay
