Hi, I hope someone can help me. I've just moved into my new house with wife and little daughter. We have a microtec 6000 alarm system in the house but don't know how to operate it. Does anybody have a copy of the user manual? Thanks, Rob

Hi I have a Gardtec alarm (not sure which model but it has a curved cover and a simple LED style display with "Un" on). When entering the house via the kitchen the alarm gives me a few seconds to enter the code before it sounds, however when coming downstairs in the morning it just goes straight off. Is there any way to set the front room sensor to have a delay so I can get to the control panel before it goes off? This would make the neighbours far happier, and me less unpopular! Thanks

Hi. Somehow, I've mislaid my user manual for my alarm system, and am wondering if it's possible to get another copy. It's the Optima XL6 system, which was installed a few years ago. I'm particularly interested in doing a walk test so that I can identify which alarms are in which zone. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, i hope someone can help me. I have been in my new house since last July and no manual was left for my alarm, apart from how to change the code. I will be doing a lot of DIY in the house (its stuck in the 70's!!!) and need to get many rooms skimmed. Of course, the PIR's in most rooms will need to be removed temporarily or loosened while the skimming work is done. But as soon as i start to try to even loosen them from the wall, obvioulsy the tamper alarm is triggered. Can anyone tell me if there is a way I can remove them without the tamper alarm sounding? I would rather not call someone out for this work as with so many rooms to do, it will make it costly for m…

Hello, can anybody help me? I have a system q cctv set-up, unfortunately I do not have any instructions/manuals for it. I am trying to set-up the automatic video control unit to recognise the system alarm when activated and send an infra red signal to the vcr for recording. Can anyone offer any help as to how I set the control unit to send the correct recording signal to the vcr?? Any help gladly received!! Thanx

Hi Everyone I have a newbie question for all the alarm gurus. I just had my master telephone socket moved by BT to another for room for broadband, the socket had my SL Dialer wired to it. Everything now workd, unfortuntely my SL Dialer is not dialing out (on extension socket) to the nominated phone numbers when the alarm is triggered. The engineer has wired the alarm cable into the extension socket.....he smiled and said...."oh, call the alarm company to see if ts wired correctly to the socket" See picture attached - its an sl dialler (which model is it?), can anbody provide me with the wiring instructions? ps. if I do a test dial from the dialer, it dials but I can…
