Looking for a modem that works with scantronics downloader software. Spoke with Scantronic who advised they sell one, but is on the expensive side for a 56k modem. Have a built-in modem on laptop but the downloader software doesn't see it, anyone know a compatible modem?

I have sky digital in my house and want to put it in a seccond room, when sky installed the dish they fitted one with a quad LNB, so have the spare connections to the dish. What i need to know whats the best way to get a service in a seccond room, it doesn't need to have all the subscription services. I was looking at buying another reciever and simply plugging it all in, will that work? Need to be able to view different chanels from the main box. Anyone help or point me in the direction of a web site that has the neccessary info.

Today dabd.com sent me 1GB of 333mhz ram. Once its installed the computer refuses to start unless i put the old ram back in. Is it possible its faulty or do i have to change settings in bios as it says there is only 256mb installed when it is actually 1280mb. Any pointers will be appreciated . fellas

Does anyone have a user guide for above model. Problem is that the fax machine picks up as soon as it notices a ring. I should set answering after 2 or 3 rings to be able to connect remotely to the site. ( i can do it now aswell but i have to set the redial delay to 45sec.. )

i have installed a new c 48 (espon) printer to my old computer. i cannot get the printer to print my work. i think the problem is in the fact that the new printer is throught the usb port, i think i need to tell the computer to look here when printing,but do not know how.can any body help...... os is windows 98

Help please I am trying to connect 2 pc together using LPT1 port. Laptop win98 ast guest and PC winxp as host.but unable to connect. any sugestions please

Is there a unit that tells you the number the incoming call is being diverted from? I have 1 line and 2 numbers diverting to that, 0845 and 0800. I want to see which number the person at the other end is calling and ideally give it a label.

I have recently upgraded my cpu and motherboard to a Barton 3000+ and a K&VT6 with Raid. the machine worked fine for several hours whilst I loaded XP and transferred my settings etc. Then whilst on this forum machine down powered no real explanation, I tried the start button nothing I unplugged and plugged back in and it started fine. I checked the Bios and found the CPU temp was running at 52C I thought this may of been the reason and left the machine to cool. I have since found 52c is quite normal and the max this cpu will take is 85c (not recomended). I went to switch the machine on today and got no response at all again further investigation my psu had…

My system sounds don't work and I cant get some Midi files to work. I think that I may of removed a dll or something with spybot but other than reloading XP I don't know what to do. Any help is appreciated Pete
