Featured Replies

My system sounds don't work and I cant get some Midi files to work.

I think that I may of removed a dll or something with spybot but other than reloading XP I don't know what to do.

Any help is appreciated

Pete

You could try a "System Restore" from a point before you run "spybot"

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.

Do you have a recovery disc given with the system or or go back on system restore point :!:

If you have a recovery disc you should be able to repair the file or program without reinstalling whole operating system pete

Have a look here ;)

Have you tried to update the drivers of your sound card?

Is the volume turned up or even the cable loose /damaged.

he he he

like he's gonna admit he's got the volume turned off!!

:):lol::)

If you don't know......ask.

How odd, I've got the same problem here.

I can play mp3 or video, but all the windows sounds have gone.

I think my problem is due to a DVR card i've installed on the PC to record the camera on our driveway.

It's a PCI card that has Video & Audio Inputs and on installation it installed lots of drivers, I think that's when the problem started.

I'm going to take the card out and uninstall the drivers this weekend so we'll see.

Have you made any hardware changes to your PC Peter?
