SD1+ Speech Dialler and VoIP

Featured Replies

BT are apparently moving all analog phone lines to VoIP.

i am assuming that it won’t just be possible to connect my SD1+ dialler to the VoIP

Does anyone know what I need for the SD1 to continue to function? Will I need some kind of adapter?

thanks

phil

They sell quite well on eBay , default it and sell it , get a GSM type thing if you can't go up yet instead

May take a while yet tho.

After changeover consider if you use their router provided FXS port that no power, means no dialling tone.

The days of dial tone meaning delivery are long gone Imo everyone needs a polled service. Even ring polls ffs and who would use / trust that here. I'd be amased on the trade side if anyone was using this sort of thing for family friends etc
