Erm, you are also reading and contributing to the same nerd forum dude!

Maybe you need one of these optimistically priced old skool jobbies?

P.s you still on for the meetup Sat night?

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

It does appear a company trading as C&K systems inc, founded 30 years ago, is still trading in the ePOS market.

Im guessing this resideo thing doesnt include 'professional' security like Gal etc...?

First DTs I installed were huge things, kicking myself as I forget the make.

Meanwhile 20 years ago... https://web.archive.org/web/19990219114014/http://www.ade.co.uk/Karizma.html#kudl

Amazing how mych has been saved by wayback, images and pdfs too after around 2002

The cam system was Opti-cam

Here's the reused accenta rkp - https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/TSOPTKP.html

Only for domestic and small commercial.   There is a Article about me on resideo web page from when i lived in the us

Don't worry about it, Happy is just sad his best anorak got ruined at radio club.

Scraping the barrel now...

Brown PSU (early Modern alarms coporate colours?) at a stupid price - Mr H's fave colour ;)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12-Volt-5-Amp-Power-Supply-Unit-with-Battery-Back-up-facility-Intruder-Alarms/202725795619?hash=item2f33662723:g:GmsAAOSwOfdZtZCg

Obscure Philips observation systems accessory (not alarms but hey, I remember this tat from our local Gateway!)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Philips-TP-camera-interface-box-VSS2907-01/123723896538?hash=item1cce84d6da:g:OkMAAOSwXbFb2cFR

Old but not old enough to be that interesting Gardtec

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gardtec-Risco-Group-Alarm-Panel/113763132477?hash=item1a7ccfa43d:g:MRUAAOSwYbpc6~Tg

I've found @al-yeti's web shop and I claim my five pounds :)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/door-opening-alarm/223458206371?hash=item340725a2a3:g:4k4AAOSwb2hcljBz

Proper old school PA

Oh yeah I know Mr H (and indeed the whole UK) is desperado to find out, it was Napco we first installed, but a bit newer than these... The boss used to buy everything from Gardtec wholesaler

and apart from the cable, the batteries, and the DSC range I think Napco were about the only outside brands they sold? The M+S of alarm wholesalers :)

I don't know a lot about them but guess there were quite a few models in the same case over a few years?

We only ever used them occasionally, I do wonder if even now I overuse DTs now they are so compact but have very few true FAs.

This looks pretty special!

Only as far as September last year.

(Though of course, that could have been the police turning on his PC after finding the corpse after 2 and a bit years. Just like in that film about that woman. 'Dreams of a Life' I think it was called. 'Dreams of No Life' if you're a TSI regular...)

And, in case this all comes across as a bit morbid, console yourself with a look at this little haul...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scantronic-Alarm-System/223457354718?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908103841%26meid%3D651b2cde261c4904a2b5d6ff03e760e9%26pid%3D100227%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D264305263909%26itm%3D223457354718&_trksid=p2054502.c100227.m3827

Someone is going to be in for a little bit of an annoying time after sticking it all up and realising Risko wireless detectors don't play nicely with Scanny 9448s :)
