PeterJames Posted December 3, 2018 Share Posted December 3, 2018 My phones seem to drop out every now and again, I have narrowed it down to my switch, I have used local poe and swapped phones around it apears the faults are port-related on the switch. I have been looking at switch's and they seem to range from £200 to £2k does anyone have a recomendation? MrHappy Posted December 3, 2018 Share Posted December 3, 2018 I have a old HP Poe switch, J8164a purchased of ebay for couple of hundred quid yrs ago, HP is used by one of my bigger clients who have a proper IT team. My only issue is java support for web browsers Unless cheap tat I'd guess your ports are prioritised, yours droping off may be the total load of the switch is too high & its closes down ports to keep other open ? If it doesn't need any features then Netgear would do, most are managed at that size.
