I assume 7ah, buy a quality make like Genesis or Yuasa, avoid Chinese no-name or 'Lucas' ones from eBay.

Lol thought Lucas were good ?

And genesis not Chinese?

Theres a difference between a global brand with a far eastern factory and crappy 'local' brands though.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Ok, update.

I put in the engineer code (no on screen confirmation that i was actually in eng mode?)

Removed cover, no alarm.  I was met with this mess (see pic).

Upon pulling off the negative battery wire the alarm sounded saying 'control panel tamper, restore required'

Now what?  Anyone know of someone local to Hemel Hempstead that can fix this?

thanks, Paul

Right, got myself properly into eng mode (found instructions).

removed battery and all is still powered, I'll buy a new battery and try that.

OP as it says 9A/h on it I assume its a nasty battery? Does it rattle when you shake it?

Yes they've obviously used the battery from the old alarm.

Here is the battery from the front:

No idea why it says 9ah on the back!?

IBT reading was done in 2014 and read 9Ah.

How old it the battery (code on the top) and does it rattle.
