CCTV PTZ Dome Power Supply

Featured Replies

See image here i have the following on the power supply:

red= AC24V

black= AC24V

yellow&green= earth

On my power supply it is PTZ 3.0 Amp 24V Supply

I have a black 2 core cable from the transformer so do i just connect these to the red and black or has the red and black to go together and then the earth on the other core of the transformer? it isnt very clear so i just want to be sure?

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thanks Jack

Are you in the industry or DIY?

*answer to question - connect one black wire to RED, one to BLACK. Earth goes to a similar earth.

I tried this and it didn't seem to work the IR's on the dome did not light up i have covered up the photocell on the dome however it didn't light up

Any ideas?

I thought possibly the RED & BLACK if they are AC24V pay both be positive and the other earth may be the earth/ negative on the twin core?

Thanks for your response, i am TRADE- JDB Solutions in Glasgow

You check your transformer works by measuring the output on volt meter (a/c selected)

Seems like the way to go, buy a multimeter and measure the tx output , and maybe curiosity if you know how to use multimeter see if ptz is drawing any current at all

Model of ptz might be helpful?
