Sodyathen
Ok, so like a dingbat I removed the front of the main control box, not realising that there was a tamper alarm that was activated, requiring me to turn off the alarm using the control panel. I'm a wally. But now the display on the control panel says "UNSET ALARMS.......T" with the 'T' flashing. I can't remove the message despite typing in my 4-digit PIN or pressing RESET. Any ideas what I can do? How would I reset? Call the installer would be my first call, is there a phone number on the bell? PeterJames
If there are no numbers anywhere its probably a sparky job or DIY. Did the previous owner/tenant not say anything? Texe is a basic panel most alarm co's will be able to help you out, so if all out fails google search for an installer near you Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/40713-texecom-veritas-r8-display-says-unset-alarms-and-its-flashing-t/#findComment-454894 Share on other sites

Sodyathen
I know my usual code, but not an engineers code. Yes, it's a keypad with LCD display. it when into 'tamper' because I was being nosey in our basement not realising that unscrewing the box that I found would activate the alarm! norman
Check the spring on the inside of the control unit that should make contact with the lid, it may be either missing (on the floor) or not seated correctly, then try to reset again using your code and the 'reset' button. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
